One thing I didn’t realise when I started my business was just how important boundaries would become🐾💗

When you work for yourself, it can be so easy to feel like you should always be available, always say yes and always go the extra mile🙈

But I’ve learnt that running a business doesn’t mean your entire life has to revolve around it👀

Having set working hours, learning to say no, sticking to my policies and allowing myself to properly switch off has made such a difference to how I feel about my business🙌🏼

And honestly? I’m still learning. There are definitely times when I feel guilty for saying no or not replying straight away — but I’m learning that having boundaries doesn’t make me any less caring or committed💗

It actually allows me to give my clients and their pets the best version of me when I am working🐾🤍

A small business owner reminder: boundaries aren’t a bad thing!

Happy birthday to me🥂🤍

I think I’ve cried more in the last 12 months than I have in my whole life…

It’s been a year of highs, lows, change, challenges and moments where I’ve genuinely wondered how much more I could take. And somehow, even today, on my birthday I find my van window had been smashed. Because apparently the universe wasn’t quite finished testing me yet 😂

But when I actually stop and look back at the last year, I realise just how far I’ve come🫶🏼

Despite everything that’s tried to knock me down, I’ve kept going. I’ve built Friendly Furries into something I’m genuinely so proud of, grown a business from an idea into something that is becoming a huge part of my life, and pushed myself further than I ever thought I could.

There have been days where I’ve felt completely broken, but I’ve still got back up and carried on. And I think that’s something worth being proud of.

So today, I’m choosing to focus on everything I do have. The people who love me, the dogs who make every day better, the opportunities I’ve created for myself, and the life I’m slowly building.

Here’s to another year of growing, learning, laughing, crying (hopefully a little less 😂), and becoming the person I’m meant to be.

I’m so grateful for how far I’ve come, and I’m excited to see where this next year takes me🥂✨

POV: your dog is part of the wedding party, but needs their own chaperone 🐶💍🤍

Meet Bryn — ring bearer, model, professional good boy and my VIP for the day 🥹🐾

From taking him for a little calm-down & p*e break before the ceremony, to making sure he was settled and happy while his humans said “I do”…

…to walking the rings down the aisle 🥹💍 sitting with me throughout the ceremony, helping with all the photos afterwards AND sneaking in another little break during the confetti madness!

Basically, Bryn had a very important job to do and I was there to make sure he could enjoy every moment of it without his humans having to worry about a thing 🤍

Getting to be part of such a special day (and helping the four-legged member of the wedding party have his moment too!) is honestly one of the best parts of what I do 🥹🐾✨

10/10 would chaperone a wedding again 💍🤍
