🚨 Cardiff Marathon – Important Access Information 🚨

Cardiff Marathon takes place this Sunday, 4th October 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Please be aware that Penarth Road will be closed between approximately 9:00am and 12:00pm, which will restrict normal access to Cardiff Veterinary Centre.

🐾 If your pet needs urgent or emergency veterinary care during this time, please do not worry.

Emergency access arrangements are in place for genuine emergencies. Please call the practice on 02920 023 800 before travelling to us and speak with a member of our team. We will advise you on the safest way to access the practice.

Meet the team 👋🏼 Hannah - Vet

Hannah qualified from the University of Nottingham in 2023 and has since worked in companion animal practice. She joined Cardiff Vets in July 2026 after taking six months out to travel, exploring New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia and Japan. Originally from Sussex, she is new to Cardiff but has already fallen in love with the city and is enjoying settling into life here.

Hannah has a particular interest in diagnostic imaging and is keen to continue developing her skills in this area, while building her knowledge and confidence across all aspects of small animal practice. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their owners and providing thoughtful, patient-focused care.

Outside of work, Hannah loves being outdoors and seeking out new adventures. She enjoys going to music events, travelling and socialising. She also tries to keep up with running and enjoys getting creative whenever she has the time!

This little handsome boy Rolo came in to see us for his very first vaccinations! 💉🐱

Rolo was busy taking in all the new sights, sounds and smells of the practice, although judging by that face, he’s already decided he’s far too cute to be told what to do! 🥹🧡

His first big vet visit is officially ticked off, and he did brilliantly! ⭐️

Some of you may recognise this gorgeous face! 🥹🐾 Ellie has been registered with us since the day we opened, so she’s very much one of our original patients! 🥰

Ellie can be a little nervous when she comes to visit us, but once she sees the team, she knows she’s in safe hands and we think it’s safe to say she’s rather fond of them too! 💕

She’s recently been spending some time with us and, despite not being overly impressed with her cone and rather fabulous pink bandage, she’s been the sweetest girl. 🌸🐶

We’re so lucky to have watched Ellie grow in confidence over the years, and we absolutely adore seeing her beautiful face in the practice. 💗

After her spay, she was out for a little toilet break and a chance to stretch her legs. 🥰🐾

Meet Chloe - PCA 👋🏼

Chloe has been working in the veterinary industry for over 2 years and has experience working within charitable veterinary medicine. She holds a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Animal Studies. She is also excited to be starting her Level 3 Veterinary Nursing Diploma in January, taking the next step towards becoming a qualified veterinary nurse. 🩺🐶

Her favourite part of the job is caring for patients during their recovery and working as a kennel nurse. Chloe particularly enjoys providing hands on care, monitoring patients and helping them feel comfortable and settled while they recover. 🐾💕

Chloe is also passionate about learning more about animal behaviour and understanding how a patient’s behaviour, emotions and individual needs can impact their experience and stay in the veterinary hospital. She enjoys learning how to make patients feel as safe, comfortable and relaxed as possible during their time in the clinic. 🐾🧡

Looking ahead, Chloe hopes to complete a certificate in anaesthesia once she qualifies as a veterinary nurse, further developing her knowledge and skills in an area she is particularly passionate about. 🩺✨

Outside of work, Chloe is a huge music lover and enjoys going to festivals and live music events. Her 12 year old Jack Russell, Molly, is her world ❤️. She also loves going on adventures, discovering new places and exploring as much of the world as she can. 🌎✈️
