We desperately need a small number of emergency foster homes for brachycephalic (flat faced) dogs over the next 48 hours while this extreme heat continues.
Despite doing everything we possibly can to keep our dogs safe, we currently have one dog fighting for its life due to heat related complications associated with kennel stress.
All of our brachycephalic dogs have now been moved into our veterinary suite, which is fully air conditioned. However, these kennels are designed for dogs recovering from surgery and are not suitable for longer term housing.
Because of the urgency of the situation, we are looking for:
• Child free homes
• Pet free homes
• Available immediately
• Able to foster for approximately 48 hours or longer Local to Cardiff for logistics
Unfortunately, we do not have time to carry out introductions between dogs and resident pets, which is why we need pet free homes.
