THOUSANDS MORE HOUSES IN CASTLE POINT TO BE DISCUSSED NEXT WEEK❗️– SIGN MY PETITION AND MAKE SURE YOUR VOICE IS HEARD! 🏠🏠🏠🏠

On Tuesday, I will be fighting for Castle Point residents at the first hearings into our new Local Plan.

The Government say Castle Point needs 11,662 new homes. The Council’s Plan proposes 6,196. With our overloaded roads, flooding and drainage problems and stretched infrastructure, I do not believe our Borough can cope with thousands more houses!

The Planning Inspectors will use Jotmans Farm, Glebelands, land south of Charfleets, The Chase, Land at Catherine Road and other Green Belt sites identified as potential Grey Belt as examples to test whether the Council has made a strong enough case for keeping development off our Green Belt.

My position is clear. We cannot take thousands more houses. But if the Government are going to force them on us, I believe they should go South of the A127, on the Blinking Owl site, with a new strategic road connection, rather than crammed onto already over-developed Canvey or spread across treasured Green Belt sites.
