🐶 Considering spaying your dog? Ask us about keyhole spaying.

At Medivet Canvey Island we offer keyhole spays, a minimally invasive alternative to traditional spaying. Using small incisions and specialised equipment, keyhole surgery can offer a more comfortable recovery, with less post-operative pain and a quicker return to normal activities for many dogs.

If you're thinking about spaying your dog, our team is here to help you understand the options and decide what's best for your pet.

📅 Get in touch with us today to learn more.
💙 Because their comfort matters.

✨ Exciting news! ✨

We’ve recently performed several laparoscopic (keyhole) spays for the lovely dogs at Acres Way, and we’re excited to now offer this advanced procedure at Medivet Canvey Island. 🐶💚 This service is also available for Medivet Benfleet clients!

A lap spay is a minimally invasive procedure performed through two or three small incisions using a camera and specialised instruments, rather than one larger incision.

Why choose a lap spay?
🐾 Smaller incisions and minimal tissue trauma
🐾 Faster recovery and a quicker return to normal activity
🐾 Lower risk of wound complications
🐾 Excellent visualisation during surgery for greater surgical precision

If you’d like to find out whether your dog is suitable for a laparoscopic spay, get in touch with our team today! 💚
