Otis and Ted. The only two dogs I was really nervous about introducing, took months. Let’s just say their bark pales in comparison to their bite!
However to my relief, introduced in a controlled manner, they got along extremely well from the first moment.
These working line dogs just want to be given a job, purpose and be stimulated. As well as enjoy our packs company in breath taking Kent countryside scenery of course.
Since both of these lads have been with us for some time, they’re both very relaxed these days. Enjoying fun and happy experiences, with a calm leader and friendly dogs, so naturally they continued this once in each other’s company.
Funny enough these big boys are two of the most respectful dogs I know - letting other dogs take their ball, very obedient and loyal to pack leader (me). So of course they’ve been rewarded with lots of exciting pack outings 🐾
There are a lot more issues from dogs that are nervous, mainly because owners avoid coming into contact with other canines. Increasing their fear, anxiety or nervousness. Very sad!
