Starting this lovely sunny Monday back walking one of my favourite greyhounds, a little bit slower with a bit more grey than before but still as cute as ever ☀️🐾

As well as finding a lucky penny on my first walk of the day, this is feeling like its going to be a very good week ❤️

I have had a lot of enquiries about whether I will be offering this service again, so I am officially adding it back to my service list!

Need just a one off help to get your garden sorted for summer or need regular weekly/fortnightly help keeping on top of picking up your dog waste this could be the service for you

Many people struggle keeping on top of this and I am not here to judge, whether its been 1 or 2 weeks or even longer, its not a glamorous job but I just want to help

Maybe you struggle with this due to age, disability or just too busy, don't hesitate to drop me a message

Please note this is just a dog waste pick up service, I have my own scooper - but I will need access to your garden, waste bin and an outside tap to complete the service - I do not take the waste away with me

I spent yesterday doing a refresh on my dog first aid training with the amazing Debbie and her lovely waggy tailed assistant Jeff at Dog First Aid Cannock, Stafford & Tamworth , and I have to say it was one of the most thorough and in depth courses I have ever been on in the 7+ years I have been working with dogs

I highly recommend for any dog owners or anyone who loves and works with dogs, as having this information is crucial in an emergency

We learnt everything from how to check yours dogs vitals, CPR, applying bandages to cuts to what to do in cases of seizures, burns, bloat, heat stroke, poisoning and electrocution - as well as how to help prevent these from happening

It was a great day spent with other lovely people who all just want to do the best for the dogs in their care ❤️🐾

With wedding season about to start and many with pets at home, this could be the service for you

It's also great for people who have all day/ evening events, such as birthday parties, weddings, work events, family fun days out, etc.

3 hours which can be split up as needed to spread through out the day, includes walks, pet feedings, check ins, company for your pets, photo updates and personalisation for yours dogs needs and routine

It's also great for nervous dogs who need their space, and allows them to get the dediticated 1-1 attention they deserve

I have bookings availible after the 20th April, though I have already had some dates requested for this year, summer holidays as well as half term dates do get filled quickly

Please note the three hours can only be used over one day, and not spread across multiple days, this also does not include an overnight stay

Why book a pet sitter to stay in your own home? 🏠

Pet sitting from your own home allows the time to be personalised for your dogs needs and routine, which lessens the stress they go through while their family is away

It's also great for nervous dogs who need their space, and allows them to get the dedicated 1-1 attention they deserve

In their own home they will already have access to their bed, bowls, toys, food and safe space that they feel comfortable in, so there's no need to pack everything to take to a kennel which sometimes has a limit to what you can bring in and can be a massive hassle if you have multiple pets

Bookings include walks, pet feedings, daily photo updates, and trust that your home will be looked after

I have bookings availible after the 20th April, though I have already had some dates requested for this year, summer holidays as well as half term dates do go quickly ☀️

Please note dates can only be held for 2 weeks upon request but will be reserved when booked with a deposit paid

Keeping your dogs safe this Spring is always important to me ❤️🐾

Keep an eye out for these flowers out on your walk or when planning to plant your garden as they can be a danger to your pups 🌷🪻⚘️

⚠️TOXIC FLOWERS TO DOGS IN SPRING⚠️

DAFFODILS & NARCISSUS 🌼
The bulbs, flowers and leaves contain alkaloids which can cause an upset stomach or cause vomiting if eaten. In extreme cases, they can even cause dogs to have fits. The bulbs are the most toxic part but even water in which daffodils have been standing can be poisonous so keep your dog well away.

TULIPS & HYACINTH🌷
The bulbs contain a toxin which can irritate dogs’ mouths and gastrointestinal tract, resulting in drooling, vomiting and diarrhoea. Serious cases are rare but heart problems and difficulty breathing are also symptoms of Tulip poisoning.

BLUEBELLS🪻
Bluebell plants and bulbs contain ‘scillarens’, chemicals that reduce the heart rate. This can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy and disorientation in dogs.

LILIES 🪷
This family of flowering plant includes lily of the valley, calla lily and peace lily varieties, all of which are potentially toxic for dogs. The pollen, bulb and foliage of these plants can cause a variety of symptoms depending on the variety of lily, but the most common symptoms are vomiting, diarrhoea, lack of appetite and drooling.

It’s always safest to avoid planting these flowers in your garden or having them in your home. Whilst toxic poisoning caused by bulbs is fortunately rare, our vets do see an increase in dogs with an upset stomach after nibbling on garden bulbs.

If you suspect your pet has eaten a toxic bulb or plant, contact your local vet immediately

Why choose 1-1 dog walking?

Because not every dog is the same so their walks shouldn't be either. Whether it be because of personality, age or breed every dog has different ideas for what they see as a fun walk;

An 11 year old Staffy might care more about having some company in the middle of their day and be happy with a slow local walk where they can stretch their legs and sniff their weemails, then go back home for a cuddle

Compared to a 3 year old German Shepherd who needs an hour adventure round the chase on a long line with some enrichment games in the middle to stop them from getting bored while their family is at work

1-1 walking allows walks to be personalised for you and your dogs needs

It's also great for nervous dogs who need their space, and allows them to get the dediticated attention they deserve

Sometimes the best things you can do with a young or excitable pup is find a bench in the middle of your walk, sit down for a moment and learn the art of doing nothing while watching the world goes by 🌍

A few minutes later when everything is more peaceful we restart our walk, it takes a lot of repetition and I keep the breaks short but it allows an excited dog learn to rebalance and calm down before going again

And as you can see after the lovely walk round the chase she promptly napped

And after my walks today I am ready for a nap too 😴

Taking a break from studying Canine Communication and Dog Psychology to give Missy a good brush down at home

Does anyone else use their dogs to confirm when Spring has officially started? Shedding season = Spring in this household ⚘️🪻🌷☀️

And yes she is part german shepherd 😅other fluffy owners will sympathise
