Happy Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month!

Please say something if they have made you or your pet feel like their only patient 🤗

The patients may see the vets, but behind every consult, surgery, emergency and recovery is an incredible team of nurses keeping everything running.

From monitoring anaesthetics and caring for inpatients to comforting nervous pets and vets, running lab tests, preparing surgeries, cleaning, organising and somehow keeping the rest of us functioning — thank you for everything you do.

We couldn't do it without you. ❤️

Today we had Reggie visiting! Being just over 1-year-old, this boy is super brave 🦸‍♂️ came in for his routine check-up and ... ended up needing a little a**l gland expression too 😶‍🌫️

Let’s just say that if this is Reggie's reaction after we had to go in forbidden grounds, imagine how happy he is every time he visits us!

He even left with a little perfume bum spray and went home feeling fresh and fabulous ✨🐶

🐾 Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month 🐾

This month we’re celebrating the vital role of veterinary nurses in animal care 🩺🐶🐱

Veterinary nurses are often the calm, reassuring presence behind the scenes (and sometimes right in the room too). From monitoring anaesthetics and caring for inpatients, to running nurse clinics, taking blood samples, providing nursing care, and supporting both pets and their owners 💛, they play a huge role in keeping patients safe, comfortable, and well cared for every day.

They’re also an important link between vets and clients—helping explain treatment plans, offering practical home care advice, and picking up on subtle changes that matter.

A huge thank you to our own incredible nursing team here at the practice 🌟 Your skill, compassion, and dedication never go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for everything you do every day for our patients and clients.
