Nice wee evening wander with Lady Hazel and Gus. Things took a sinister turn when Gus and I got home and I heard Gus crying for me. Went through to find one of the lagomorphs had stolen his Boneo from him 😂

Another cracking day with Miss Hazel in the morning and afternoon. Then what should have been a delightful evening wander with Sir Fletcher and Gus. . . . Should have been.

I forgot however that I was out with a pair of hooligans 🤣

Another cracking start with Hazel this morning.

The deer have clearly been VERY inconsiderate and left scent trails absolutely everywhere, so Hazel spent most of the walk conducting a full forensic investigation at 100mph, tongue flying all over the place.

Recall is still very much a negotiation rather than a legal requirement, but she’s definitely improving. Lots of circling back for treats, check-ins and “look what I found!” energy today.

Beautiful quiet morning to be out with the doggos 💖

Ladies and gentlemen I would like to introduce you to Hazel 🐾

Full-time collie, part-time chaos coordinator and an absolute joy to walk.

We had our first adventure together tonight and she smashed it — stuck close, tuned in beautifully, and took her new role very seriously, official Ball Guardian (zero chance of losing that thing on her watch).

Recall was a polite discussion in progress. But with a bit of cheese and some teamwork, she’s already making solid choices.

Safe to say I’m looking forward to many more miles with this perfect, clever and beautiful wee soul 💚

A cracking evening stroll with Sir Fletcher. We all came back thoroughly soaked and muddy so a successful walk I think.
