🐾🌟Meet Bella!

This October, we’re celebrating a very special girl, Bella, who has officially been accepted as a Therapy Dog at Great Ormond Street Hospital! ❤

Each week, Bella will be helping to bring smiles, comfort and a little bit of home to children, families and hospital staff. She’ll even be supporting physiotherapy and specialist therapy sessions, helping children through exercises, reducing anxiety and providing plenty of cuddles along the way. 🥰

With her gentle nature and instinct for knowing when someone needs a cuddle, we think Bella is going to be absolutely brilliant at her new role.

And just look at her proudly showing off her new GOSH Therapy Dog bandana! 🐶💙

Congratulations, Bella! We’re so proud to have you as our October Pet of the Month! 🏆🐾

🐾 Franchisee shoutout! 🐾

A huge well done to We Love Pets Coggeshall for organising a brilliant fun dog show at the Coggeshall Carnival! 🎉🐶

There were wagging tails, impressive tricks, adorable puppies and some very worthy winners! 🏆 From Tuppence taking Cutest Puppy, to Lily winning Most Handsome Golden Oldie, Saffie showing off her dance moves and Mocha taking home Waggiest Tail AND Best in Show! 👑🐕

There was even a Guess the Treats in the Jar competition with exactly 70 treats being the winning guess! 🍖

And let’s just say Otto left his own special mark on the arena.🤭💩

What a fantastic community event. Well done, team Coggeshall! ❤️🐾

🐾 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 🐾

Meet Frodo, the fabulous 10-year-old Sphynx cat! 🐈

Sphynx cats were developed as a breed in the 1960s and are known for their extroverted personalities, intelligence, and strong bond with their humans. Frodo certainly ticks every one of those boxes!

Frodo is at the heart of family life and has a personality that is hard to ignore. His interests include controlling his humans into providing treats, bird watching, sleeping on his human's bed and knocking items off shelves whilst maintaining direct eye contact. 👀🤭

Being a Sphynx, Frodo needs a little extra care including weekly baths to care for his delicate skin and sporting jumpers in the colder months.

Frodo also has a mischievous side and his latest escapade included peeing on his human's sandals when he realised they were packing to go on holiday! 😼

He may be mischievous but his cheeky character, intelligence and affectionate nature are exactly what make him so special. Tasha from We Love Pets Bury St Edmunds absolutely adores Frodo and feels honoured to care for him. ❤️

Meet Lilly, Caramel & RooRoo! 💚🐹

The We Love Pets Norwich team have the pleasure of looking after these three adorable guinea pigs every July when their owner goes away for a few days and they’re always a delight to care for!

Their sweet little squeaks are the perfect welcome when the team arrives (especially when they know mealtime is on the way! 🥬). From refreshing their bedding and water to keeping their enclosure clean and making sure they’re happy and comfortable, the team love giving them the care and attention they deserve.

Small pets may be little, but Lilly, Caramel & RooRoo certainly have big personalities! 🐾✨

Happy International Cat Day! 🐾

Meet Bluey! 💙 This handsome boy belongs to Jo & Ryan - our Founder and Managing Director - and he's very much part of the furniture at head office. Whether he's supervising the garden from his favourite wall or pouncing on a feather toy, Bluey keeps everyone on their toes (and steals plenty of cuddles along the way).

We Love Pets (South Cambs) are delighted to have partnered with a local, independent vet - both of us committed to providing outstanding pet care, with the welfare of your pets at the heart of everything we do.

are an independent, small animal practice, opened in Stapleford last March. Their main surgery - Clarendon Street in central Cambridge - has been looking after pets for over 60 years, and they have brought their ethos of independent, experienced and friendly veterinary care to Stapleford.

The surgery offers three consultation rooms, separate dog and cat hospitalisation and waiting areas, and a fully equipped operating theatre. They offer a range of services including routine care and advice, home visits, travel documentation, emergency surgery and end of life support, and have visiting specialists in ophthalmology, cardiology, diagnostic imaging and physiotherapy.

The We Love Pets team are delighted to partner with a practice who share our 'welfare first' approach, our respective businesses owned and trusted by animal lovers throughout the South Cambridge area, creating a powerful support network for pets and their owners.

Atlas has been with us for over a year and is a mild mannered, gentle giant. Whilst he's happy to have some alone time, he likes nothing more than some company - especially the girls - any opportunity to show off his athleticism & ball skills!

Pippa & Tilly on the other hand cannot disguise their high energy outlook on life. Despite their outwardly different personalities, experience has shown us that opposites can definitely attract. It was with this in mind that we introduced the 3 of them - in a controlled environment - and they have been enjoying spending every Monday together in a secure field for several weeks now.

It's this planned, controlled approach, coupled with experience & the knowledge of our clients' dogs that sets We Love Pets apart - truly a welfare first approach to all of the pets that we are privileged enough to be entrusted with taking care of.

We often get asked the question: How do you decide which dogs to put together for walks? Well, it's certainly not a decision that's taken lightly.

We definitely don't just put them together & hope for the best - there's a lot of thought & consideration that goes into the decision. Given that We Love Pets walk a huge variety of breeds, with different breed traits/characteristics and individual personalities, we consider many different factors;

Personality
Age
Energy Levels
Size
Strength
Temperament
Confidence

Clearly it wouldn't be fair to put an old boy/girl who wants to sniff every blade of grass with a high energy breed who simply wants to get a move on towards play time. What about size & strength, will a high energy dog hype up the others or will a nervous dog feel overwhelmed?

As the owner of WLP (South Cambs), I attend every new matching meet, and the process is one of constant assessment, a bit of trial & error, and sometimes adding different dogs into the mix until you find the perfect fit. Small group walking - our welfare first approach limits groups to 3 dogs - isn't a case of "chuck them together & hope for the best", it's planning, management, experience & getting to know your clients' dogs inside out.

And when you get it right, that's when the magic happens.✨🦮
