Meanwhile, the big dog group were having just as much fun yesterday — although there were definitely a few BIG personalities on display 🤣🐾

Zeke had a lot to say for himself (as usual 😂), while Harvey seemed to spend most of his time jumping around like a complete looney — in that special way that only a Collie seems to know how! 🤣

Woody was absolutely lapping up all the attention and cuddles ❤️, while Kyra was her usual completely unfazed self, taking all the madness in her stride.

The others? Well, they just seemed to put up with the antics going on around them! 😂

And then there’s Luna and Sassy, who just absolutely adore each other 🥰🐾 It’s always lovely watching their friendship.

We love seeing a group of big dogs with such different personalities, play styles and energy levels all able to interact, play and relax together safely. ❤️

Our small dog group in the main play zone yesterday were clearly having a competition for the best tongue-out, funny-face photo 🤣👅🐾

There was even a little bit of dancing going on 💃😂 alongside plenty of playtime, cuddles with the team and the occasional game of hide-and-seek!

And, of course, when all that fun got a bit too much, there was time to find a comfy spot and have a well-earned rest before starting all over again ❤️

🐾 7 WEEKS OLD ALREADY! 🐾

How has that happened?! 🥹❤️

Our gorgeous Peaches & Grayson boy is 7 weeks old today and is already tipping the scales at almost 6kg! 🐺🐾

He really is an absolute joy. He’s amazingly confident, curious, affectionate and full of character, and he plays so beautifully with his mum and the other dogs who are happy to play with him.

He’s also definitely not silly 🤣 He’s already learning to read the cues from some of our older, slightly less tolerant pack members and knows exactly when it might be a good idea to make a tactical retreat! 😂 It’s wonderful watching him learn all those important doggy social skills from the pack around him.

And then there are those ears… 👂🤣

Well, one of them has clearly received the memo — the other one apparently isn’t working yet! 😂❤️ Still firmly down while its partner is making a much better effort!

We are now actively 👀 for the very best 🏠 for this beautiful low-content wolfdog boy. We’ll be extremely particular about where he goes, because he deserves a wonderful home where he can continue to thrive, learn and be very much part of the family.

The girls have also apparently decided that Bertie is his name now… and it does seem to be sticking! 🤣

Nearly 6kg, one functioning ear and a personality that gets bigger by the day. 😂🐾❤️

So, guess where Spot’s been again? 🤣🐾

Well, after successfully winning our daughter Ebony round… yep, you guessed it — his favourite place, the Sensory Garden! 🌿💚

Honestly, I think Spot could take himself there now! 😂 He knows exactly where he’s going and wastes absolutely no time pottering off to explore.

He just loves wandering around at his own pace, sniffing his way through all the different areas, investigating the sensory boxes and generally just enjoying himself. 🐾🌿

There’s something really lovely about watching him quietly potter about, completely content and comfortable in a place he knows so well.

Safe to say, if Spot had a choice of where to spend his afternoon at Nesslands… we all know where he’d be! 🤣💚🐾

❤️🐾 One of the best parts of my day…

One of the very best things about our job has to be the wonderful dogs we get to know, love and interact with every single day. So many different personalities, characters and little quirks — and somehow they all find a place in our hearts. ❤️

But for me personally, there’s another part that I absolutely love…

At the end of every day, I get sent all the photos our team have taken throughout the day, and I can honestly say that sitting down and going through them always puts a smile on my face.

And yesterday certainly didn’t disappoint — although, to be fair, it never does! 🤣

We have the most wonderful staff who genuinely love, play with and care for all the dogs entrusted to us, and I think you can see that in the moments they manage to capture.

The funny faces 🤪
The beautiful smiles ❤️
The action shots that are sometimes more blur than dog 🤣
The cuddles and quiet moments 🥰
The friendships, the silliness and those completely random expressions that make you wonder what on earth was going through their heads!

And then there are those photographs that are simply beautiful — the ones that capture a dog’s personality perfectly and make you stop for a second and smile.

They’re not staged photoshoots. They’re just little snapshots of real days at Nesslands, captured by the people who are right there spending their day caring for, playing with and getting to know your dogs.

So while you all get to see a selection of them on our page, I get the pleasure of going through the whole lot every day — and I genuinely never get bored of it. ❤️🐾

A huge thank you to our wonderful team for everything you put into caring for our daycare and boarding dogs every day — and for capturing all these fabulous little moments along the way. 🥰📸🐾

⚽️🐾 Anyone for football? 🐾⚽️

There was definitely a bit of football fever at Nesslands yesterday!

Hazel & Rex were absolutely up for a game — chasing the ball, getting involved and clearly taking their football very seriously 🤣⚽️ Even Suki, Buddy & a couple of the dachshunds gave it a go!

And then there was Ronnie…

Watching it all from the comfort of his favourite play equipment with a look that seemed to say:

“Yeah… you can leave me out of that. I’m quite comfortable here, thanks!” 🤣🤣

That’s the joy of daycare — some are ready to join the starting eleven, while others are perfectly happy being spectators! ❤️🐾

🌭🐾 Was yesterday officially a HOT DOG DAY at Nesslands? 🤣☀️

With the sun shining, a lovely warm day and what seemed like an invasion of Miniature Dachshunds, we think it probably was! 😂🌭

Little legs, long bodies and HUGE personalities were everywhere — our very own collection of hot dogs enjoying their day at daycare. ❤️

There’s something about getting several Dachshunds together that guarantees plenty of character, mischief and entertainment!

🍂🐾 Getting back to normal at Nesslands! 🐾🍂

Now the children have gone back to school, things are gradually settling back into our more normal routine again… well, as normal as it ever gets at Nesslands! 🤣

We’re still keeping pretty busy, particularly at the weekends, but our regular daycares are returning to their usual patterns, while some of our summer holiday daycares are heading home — although thankfully plenty of them still come back to see us for the odd day! ❤️

We’ve also welcomed some lovely new faces over the last few weeks and it’s been wonderful watching them settle in, make friends and find their place within our different groups. We get to know all their different personalities and play styles, and it’s lovely seeing those new friendships start to form. 🐶🐾

Our new team members are settling in brilliantly too, and judging by the cuddles, kisses and excitement they’re getting, I think it’s safe to say the daycares have given them their seal of approval! 😂❤️

And it won’t be long now until autumn really starts to arrive 🍂 — which also means we’re getting ever closer to the next exciting chapter at Nesslands and getting started on our Nessafari Adventure Lodge! 🦁🌿🐾 We genuinely can’t wait to see it all start coming together.

But for now, here are just some of the gorgeous, funny and wonderfully individual doggy faces we’ve enjoyed over the last couple of days.

Another sad day for the Nesslands team today as we had to say goodbye to our gorgeous little Toby! ❤️🐾

After 30 days with us, it’s always hard when they leave to go home — they become such a big part of our days and Toby has certainly kept us smiling!

So thank you, Toby, for a whole month of fun, laughs and that cheeky little face of yours. 🤣❤️ What an amazing little character you are!

He absolutely loved being part of daycare, making friends with everyone — both two-legged and four-legged — and he was particularly lovely with some of our newer dogs, helping them settle in and showing them that daycare is a pretty fun place to be. 🥰🐾

We’re going to miss having you pottering around every day, little man, but it’s not really goodbye…

It’s just until next time, cutie. 😉❤️🐾

We thought it was about time we properly introduced Duke… mainly because we’ve finally managed to get some pictures of him! 🤣🐾📸

This gorgeous Beagle first joined us for a trial half day on Friday, where he was quite simply too quick for the cameras.

Saturday he was back for a full day, but every time we seemed to have our phones handy, Duke had conveniently decided it was time for one of his puppy naps. 😴😂

Finally, yesterday he was with us for another full day and we actually managed to capture this wonderful boy and a little bit of his fabulous personality!

Having had two Beagles of our own over the years, as well as a few who come to daycare, we know only too well what life with a Beagle is like… nose down, sniffing absolutely EVERYTHING in sight and generally evading capture! 🤣

And as you can see from some of the slightly blurry photos, Duke has already decided that standing still and modelling is far too boring when there’s a whole world out there to investigate. 😂

So challenge accepted, Duke… we WILL get the pictures! 🤣📸
