For some dogs? The risk starts long before it feels “too hot” to us.

Flat faced breeds, puppies, older dogs, larger dogs, overweight dogs, and dogs with health conditions can all struggle in warmer temperatures far sooner than expected.

If in doubt:
🐾 Walk earlier or later
💧 Bring water
🌳 Stick to shade
🧠 Swap walks for enrichment indoors

Sometimes the safest choice is skipping the walk altogether.
