Over this week it’s going to be extremely hot!!
I’m trying my hardest to plan ahead and to get everyone in accordingly and sorted before the heat hits. IF by any chance I get held up or heat rises higher and sooner then expected I may have to cancel or shorten walk with a pop in for the rest of the time. I’ll do everything I can to try get everyone in and out of the heat as much as possible. Sometimes the weather does and will change last minute so I’m keeping a very close eye on the degree for each day. Please keep a close eye on messages from me incase of any time changes, I will send a message out the night before with a rough time for each walk due for the day.
I understand cancellations and if it’s physically impossible to walk without any potential risks then I’ll 100% allow cancellations for hot weather within reason and if it’s impossible for me to get to the dogs before the heat. I will walk up to 25° in the early afternoon at the absolute maximum, unless it is the morning or evening, however this does depend on dog by size/fitness and breed. Smaller dogs will be slightly more lenient with walking up to 26° if the dog is capable. My main worry is the concrete being too hot so no paws are burned. Please trust me during this time, I’m very experienced and will avoid any potential risk or harm to any dog. Alternatively, for owners that are in, we can assess weather conditions as it gets closer to the walk time slot dedicated. Please if possible, if you are going to cancel any walks for reasons of uncertainty with weather and possible time changes of mine, please try and cancel atleast the with 24 hours notice so I can allow the time to get other dogs in for the potential cancelled slots.
I wi have water on me, and provide lots of pit stops to try and keep dogs as cool as possible. If you have any cooling vests/ bandanas ect.. please please put them on for their walk or leave them out for me to pop on them.
Also just a reminder,
As I am very lenient with cancellations and understanding with the weather but please allow some notice and please don’t take the leniency for granted otherwise I will have to be a lot more strict on it. This is not a hobby for me unfortunately, I am a business just like every other business out there and I do run like a business which has contracts in place with terms and conditions regarding cancellations. If anyone wishes to have a printed copy of the contract/terms and conditions please don’t hesitate to ask. I would rather that then clients being unsure of the policy agreement.
After the hot weather, unfortunately I am going to have to crack down on cancellations and late payments. I will post a copy of the terms and conditions on my page so everyone has access to them. Also please bear with me with messages during this time. I’m extremely busy and my main priority this week is trying to sort out walks for the hot weather, every dog is my biggest priority and their welfare will come first, so some messages may be slow getting back too if messages are not urgent or about walks due ect..
Sorry for the long post and ramble, however this is important info I need to put out there for everyone to see.
Anyway hope you all enjoy the weather (if you can 🥵) stay hydrated and keep yourself and of course the doggos 🐶 safe during this time x
