Autumn can mean cooler days, wetter walks and more time spent curled up indoors, and pets living with osteoarthritis may need a little extra support.
Simple changes at home can help make everyday life more comfortable, such as:
๐พ Providing a warm, comfortable orthopaedic bed.
๐พ Keeping exercise regular and gentler rather than having very active days followed by long periods of rest.
๐พ Using non-slip rugs or mats on slippery floors.
๐พ Considering ramps or steps if your pet struggles to reach their favourite places.
๐พ Helping them maintain a healthy weight to reduce unnecessary strain on their joints.
A few thoughtful adjustments can make autumn much easier on sore joints.
