I found this fantastical creature walking along one of the chairs. It is a Pale Tussock Moth caterpillar.
If you see one, don't touch it. The long hairs can embed in yor skin and cause severe irritation.

After 9 years and many improvements to Rafferty's Field, I am finally going to have to increase the hourly rates.
They will still be lower than any other local field.
1-5 dogs 30mins - £4.
1-5 dogs 55mins- £6.
6-9 dogs 30 mins- £6.
6-9 dogs 55mins - £9.
10 dogs (maximum) 55mins - £12.

This will be from Monday 14th September 2026.

This green staining on the wood is from Xylindein. It is from the mycelium of Green Elfcup (Chlorociboria aeruginascens).
I have seen this a few times, but the tiny green fruiting body is much rarer to see.
