🐾 TRUE OR FALSE TUESDAY – THE ANSWER! 🐾

Earlier today, we asked whether a wagging tail always means a dog is happy.

The answer is FALSE! ❌🐶

Dogs wag their tails for many different reasons, including excitement, nervousness, uncertainty or even feeling uncomfortable. That’s why it’s important to look at their whole body language, including their ears, eyes, facial expression and posture, to understand how they’re feeling. 🐕💭

🐾 Remember: A wagging tail is only one part of the story!

Did you guess correctly? Let us know in the comments! 👇

🐾MEET THE TEAM MONDAY – NORMA! 🐾

This Monday, we’re catching up with the lovely Norma, one of our receptionists at Riverside Vets! 🐶👋

Norma has been part of the Riverside family for almost 4 years, and she loves being the friendly face that greets you and your pets when you arrive! Her favourite part of the job? Meeting all your lovely pets and, of course, giving out plenty of treats! 🍪🐾

🐕 Dog person or cat person? Definitely a dog person! Norma has her hands full at home with her two pugs, Bruno and Perry, and her Border Collie, Poppy.

Would she swap jobs with anyone for a day? Not a chance! Norma loves being the first point of contact for our clients and wouldn’t change her role for the day.

🐝 Fun fact about Norma! On a trip to Blackpool with eight friends, they ALL got matching tattoos of a little bumblebee above their wrists! 🐝Now that’s friendship goals!

A huge thank you to Norma for everything she does to make our clients and their furry friends feel welcome at Riverside. 🐾

Next time you pop into our Callander or Stirling practice, make sure you say hello to Norma! 👋😊

👇 Have you met Norma before? Give her a little wave in the comments! 💬🐶

🐾🍂 TUESDAY PET TIP – DID YOU KNOW? 🍂🐾

The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting colder, and autumn is well and truly here! 🍁 But did you know that the changing seasons can bring a few hidden hazards for our furry friends? 🐶🐱

🔦 This week’s top tip: BE SEEN, STAY SAFE! 🦺🐾

With darker mornings and evenings, make sure your pets can be seen when out and about!

✨ 🐕 For our doggy friends: Try a reflective collar, lead or high-vis coat on those evening walks.

✨ 🐈 For our feline friends: If your cat ventures outdoors, make sure their microchip details are up to date and consider keeping them indoors during the darkest hours.

✨ 🧊 Bonus autumn warning: Antifreeze can be extremely toxic to pets, even in small amounts. Keep it securely stored and clean up any spills immediately.

🐾 LET’S GET YOU INVOLVED! 👇

What’s your pet’s favourite thing about autumn? 🍂 Is it muddy walks, cosy blankets, jumping in leaves or curling up somewhere warm? 🛋️🐾

Drop a photo of your autumn adventurer in the comments — we’d LOVE to see them! 📸❤️

📍 From all of us at Riverside Vets – Callander & Stirling, keep those tails wagging and those whiskers safe!
