For most, fireworks are a source of fear, stress and anxiety..and we know how difficult it can be watching your pet struggle.

The good news? You don’t have to wait until the first bang to start helping. ❤️

There are lots of things you can do to help your pet feel safer and more prepared, from creating a calm space at home and introducing positive coping strategies to discussing additional support with our veterinary team.

Our pets give us so much love, companionship and happiness, so it’s only natural that we want to take the best care of them in return.

Heart problems can sometimes be difficult to spot, but changes such as tiring more easily, coughing, breathing difficulties, reduced exercise tolerance or fainting can be signs that something isn’t quite right.

Mabel’s mesmerised by bubbles! 💕

Just look at that face! 😍 Mabel had the best time discovering bubbles during our Puppy Social Class.

Puppy socialisation is all about creating positive experiences and gently introducing puppies to new sights, sounds, smells and experiences in a safe, controlled environment.

And sometimes… that means bubbles! 🫧🐾

We think Mabel gives them a definite 10/10! 🥰

Dental Care Matters! 🐾🦷

Here’s a fantastic before and after from one of our recent dental scale and polish procedures. ✨

Dental disease can be painful and is incredibly common in our pets. Regular dental checks and professional cleaning when needed can help keep their mouths healthy and comfortable.

💙 A note about anaesthesia:
All of our dental treatments are carried out under general anaesthesia. We believe this is the safest and kindest way to provide thorough dental care.

It would not be fair or safe to expect a conscious pet to tolerate the equipment, noise and handling involved in a proper dental procedure. Being anaesthetised allows us to carefully examine the entire mouth, clean above and below the gum line, take dental X-rays where needed, and treat any dental problems properly-without causing unnecessary stress or discomfort.

Rex is a lovely German Shepherd puppy who came along to our puppy socialisation classes. 🐶💕
His young owner has been working incredibly hard with him using clicker training, and he was very proudly showing off all his skills to us during class! 👏✨
It’s fantastic to see such a strong bond developing between them and all the hard work paying off. Keep up the great work, Rex!

🌟 Vet Receptionist Awareness Day! 🌟

Today we’re celebrating our wonderful reception team!

Our receptionists are so much more than the friendly faces you see when you walk through the door. They are often the first point of contact for our clients and play a huge part in keeping the practice running smoothly.

From booking appointments and answering the phones, to helping worried owners, organising prescriptions, supporting the clinical team and making sure our patients and their families feel welcome...they do it all! 🐶🐱💗

There’s a lot that happens behind the reception desk, and it takes patience, compassion, organisation and plenty of multitasking!
