After being made redundant in August 2015, I ceased the opportunity to follow a long held dream and re-train to become a dog groomer. I have worked with and kept dogs for over 40 years and also volunteered for a local dog rescue, basically dogs are my passion. I still help to raise much needed funds for them and have been a foster carer and home checker plus other roles. Since qualifying I have co
ntinued on with my education and have completed and passed my dog first aid, hand stripping and bite prevention qualifications as well as my OCN L3 diploma. I regularly attend seminars to keep up to date with my knowledge with some of the top groomers in the UK to include Georgia Aston Fuller of pooch perfect, Wayne Roby, Mike Wildman, Lisa Hart, Carol Parcheeni Hutchins plus many others. Learning new skills all the time plus I only use top quality products such as Melanie Newman shampoo, Hownd and Vitas Canis. I work 1-1 with your dogs at their pace to ensure they are as relaxed as possible and my salon is quiet, safe and cosy. Dogs are given regular breaks and I always have toys around so they can have a quick play to help them relax before and after their groom. I groom to breed standard or owners request and also offer hand stripping plus extras like mud baths, nail dremelling and facials.
