🐾 Double trouble, double bravery! 😻

Gorgeous boys Eddie and Paddy came in to see our lovely Registered Veterinary Nurse, Molly, for their second vaccinations! 🩺 💉
Before their vaccinations, Molly gave them both a thorough health check to make sure they were fit and well — and they were absolute superstars! ⭐️

The boys were very curious about their surroundings, enjoying exploring everything around them, before making sure they got plenty of fuss and cuddles from Molly and their paw-rent.
They were both incredibly brave for their vaccinations — well done, boys! 💙👏

We loved having you both in, Eddie and Paddy, and can’t wait to watch you grow! Although, we’re not entirely sure if you came for the vaccinations… or a complimentary tour of the consultation room! 😹👀

With Halloween fast approaching, this means plenty of chocolate treats around the house, but while they might be a tasty treat for us… chocolate can be seriously harmful to dogs. ❌🍫

Chocolate contains Theobromine, which can cause serious illness - and there’s no “a little is fine” when it comes to our pets.

If you think your dog has eaten chocolate, don’t wait for symptoms to appear. Give us a call straight away on 0161 764 4618 so we can advise you on what to do next. ☎️

🐾 Brave Boy Basil! 🐶

At the start of October, Basil came in to see our lovely Registered Veterinary Nurse, Molly, for his second vaccination. 🩺💉
Before his vaccination, Molly gave him a very thorough health check to make sure he was fit and well — and Basil was an absolute superstar! ⭐️

He was incredibly brave, loved all the fuss and cuddles, and was so relaxed that he didn’t even seem to notice his injection!

We’re so proud of this little chap and can’t wait to watch Basil grow up into a handsome boy. 🐶✨

Well done, Basil! ✨💚

Getting older is a privilege - and our senior pets have certainly earned their extra cuddles, comfy beds and favourite treats!

Just like us, pet’s needs can change as they age. They may slow down a little, sleep more or take longer to get up in the morning - but getting older doesn’t mean they have to stop enjoying life.

Regular nose-to-tail health checks can help us to spot changes early. There are lots of ways we can help you and your pets enjoy their golden years. ⭐️💛

Growing older isn’t something to fear - it’s something to celebrate. 🥰

🐾 PET OBESITY AWARENESS DAY 🐾

“Just one more treat?” 👀

Our pets may be experts at convincing us they are starving, but carrying a little extra weight can put extra pressure on their joints and increase the risk of health problems.

And yes… those treats count! 🦴🍪

A few tips for keeping your four-legged friend fighting fit:
🍽️ Measure their meals - “eyeballing it” isn’t an official unit of measurement!
🍪 Go easy on the treats - even tiny treats add up when you’re only tiny yourself.
🏃‍♂️ Keep them moving - walks, playtime and enrichment all count.
⚖️ Keep an eye on their weight - regular weigh-ins can help spot changes early.
👩‍⚕️ Ask us for advice - we promise not to judge if your pet has been secretly running a snack-based empire at home! We offer 30-minute weight clinics with our lovely Registered Veterinary Nurses.

A healthy weight means more zoomies, more adventures and more happy years together. 🐾💚

🐾 World Arthritis Day - Helping our pets move comfortably…

Did you know arthritis can affect our pets too?

As pets get older, changes in their joints can make everyday activities such as climbing stairs, jumping, going for walks etc. more difficult.

The signs can be subtle. Look out for:
🐾 Stiffness
🐾 Limping
🐾 Reluctance to exercise or play
🐾 Difficulty climbing or jumping

The good news is that arthritis doesn’t mean giving up on an active, happy life! There are a range of ways we can help manage joint pain.

☎️ If you’ve noticed your pet isn’t quite as mobile as they used to be - speak to our veterinary team.

We’re always here to help! 🐾💚
