We are a small friendly establishment set on the outskirts of elmswell, providing tuition for all abilities from the age of 4, we have a selection of well schooled horses and ponies to suit every one. Lessons take place every day and can be a toddle for our very young rider or a hack for the more experienced,we also do half hour and hour lessons in the arena for all levels of riders. The yard is a pony club approved centre and we run pony cub sessions every Tuesday evening term time from 5.30pm till 7pm and every Thursday evening during term time, from 5pm till 6.30pm, adults are also welcome.

Last task of the day. Promised I’d ride Billy but at 6pm and the sun low and tea calling it was a do as I say not as I do ride 🫣😉🤗. No saddle, no gloves, no riding boots, and NO HAT!!! I did actually forget that one as I had a baseball hat on. Got the job done but did you know if you’re under 16 it’s against the law to ride without a hat. Fun fact! After that you can do dumb s**t and fall off and smack your head!!!!!

A busy morning followed by an even busier afternoon. Yard all tidy, tack cleaned, rooms all sorted and yard blown ready for a busy week. Thank you to the Young Equestrian’s who helped. Also kay and I sorted a massive order of pony club badges ready for presentation’s. We will be doing a pony club jumper order this week too so the children have somewhere to sew their reward’s on for all their hard work.

What a crazy few weeks at Hill farm. 18th annual inspection, 20 horses and ponies put through and passed with flying colours. Kay’s been holding the fort while I had a few days R&R before winter sets in, then on Sunday we made the very long drive (with a nap on the train) to Longchamp Paris 🇫🇷 to watch Luna A inbhir nis run in the Prix de L’Abbaye. It was amazing they definitely know how to throw a good race day. Check out your emails for more yard news and info.
