Thank you to the East Anglian Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club for sending over these pictures.

This event was the Joyce Shorrock Dog Fun Day in Newmarket, where we provided a few giveaways and goodie bags!

The day consisted of face painting, fancy dress, raffles and multiple dog class events, all held to raise money for charities such as Street Vet and to support local dogs in need of homes and care.

Our Gladwells Pet & Country Store teams recently headed out for a special visit to Baileys Horse Feeds HQ! 🐴✨

Rather than our store managers, this trip was all about our front-line Equine advocates—the passionate team members you see in our aisles every day. Here’s what we got up to:

🌱 Family Roots & History: Graham Rice (Sales Development Manager) introduced us to the heritage and values behind this family-run business.

⚙️ Behind the Scenes: Factory Manager Kip Barrett took us on a full manufacturing tour. Seeing their process in action was incredible—plus, we were so impressed by their sustainability efforts, including generating much of their own electricity with on-site solar panels!

🐴 Nutrition Expertise: Equine Nutritionist Emma Short led an insightful afternoon session, diving deep into how Baileys formulates feeds with both horse and rider at heart.

🤝 Future Plans: We wrapped up with Area Sales Manager Catherine Baldock to discuss growing our partnership across Copdock Mill and Gladwells Pet & Country Stores.

A massive thank you to Catherine, Kip, Emma, Graham, Louise Leverton, and Lauren Moulsdale for being such fantastic hosts!

Next time you’re in-store, pop over to our Equine Advocates—they’re bursting with fresh nutrition insights to share with you and your horses! 🌾
