Spent some precious time volunteering at Bury Stray Cats yesterday, and this sweet soul steals my heart every time. 🐾✨
There’s nothing quite like the feeling when a rescue cat decides you're their safe space for a quiet cuddle. Whether it's sitting with nervous kitties, offering gentle lap snuggles, or giving older cats the patient affection they deserve, these moments mean the world. 🧡

With so many lovely new followers joining the Quiet Paws community recently (thank you!), I thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce myself and share a little bit about the person behind the paws.
My name is Marie and I run Quiet Paws. Animals, nature and wildlife have been my absolute passion for over two decades, I’ve shared my home with cats, guinea pigs, hamsters and rabbits for more than 20 years (not all at the same time!)!
Before stepping into the world of pet and wildlife care full time, I spent ten years working as a registered mental health nurse, both on the wards and in the community. More recently, I worked as a nursery teaching assistant at a local primary school, and I’ve also loved spending time volunteering for the Suffolk Hedgehog Hospital. Caring for others, whether they have two legs or four, has always been at the heart of everything I do.
When I'm not carrying out visits, you can usually find me pottering in my own garden, relaxing with my cat Tilly, or spending time with my husband and 2 daughters.
Whether you are here for pet care updates or just to see pictures of cute animals on your feed, thank you for your support, I am so glad you're here.

🦋 Moments of Quiet Connection
One of my absolute favourite parts of visiting my cat clients is simply sitting quietly with them in their gardens.
While doing exactly that during a visit yesterday, this beautiful Red Admiral butterfly decided to join us. 🌿✨
