Why Do Kiln-Dried Logs Matter?

Not all firewood is created equal! 🪵
When it comes to keeping your home warm, your logs' moisture content makes a real difference.

Kiln-dried logs are dried under controlled conditions to reduce their moisture content, helping you get more from your fire.

So, why choose kiln-dried?
-- More efficient burning – Less energy is wasted evaporating moisture, meaning more heat for your home.
-- Less smoke – Properly dried logs generally produce less smoke than wet wood when burned correctly.
-- Easier to light – Dry logs are typically easier to get burning and help maintain a consistent fire.
-- Better for your stove – Burning properly seasoned wood can help reduce soot and tar build-up compared with burning wet logs.

At Staffordshire Kindling Supplies, we believe choosing the right firewood makes all the difference.

👉 Swipe through our carousel to discover why kiln-dried logs are worth considering!

Getting the fire going shouldn't be the hardest part!

Good, dry kindling makes a huge difference when you're trying to get a fire started, especially when you're lighting it regularly through autumn and winter.
We stock kiln-dried kindling and woodwool firelighters, so you can add them to your firewood order and have everything you need in one go.
No messing about with damp bits of wood or half a newspaper. Just get it lit, get the logs on and get the house warm. 🪵🔥
