This afternoon I took a trip into Swad with Wellington to go to the market. He was good as gold while I purchased a load of meat from the Butcher/meat van. Now we’re back home and it looks like uncle Leigh is in charge of the belly rubs 😂

Last night we said goodbye to our gorgeous Vinnie, and we were all so sad to see him go. We’ve had the most amazing week with him, and he really did become part of the family. 🥹🐾

After he left, it was a couple of Proseccos and an early night for me, because this morning we welcomed another beautiful Cockapoo into our home!

Meet Wellington! 🐶💙 At ten years old, he’s quite a bit older than Vinnie, so I think we may be in for a slightly more relaxed week this time! 😂 We’re really looking forward to getting to know him and, no doubt, falling in love with yet another gorgeous Cockapoo. 🥰

He did start off sleeping nicely at the bottom of the bed… but I’ve just rolled over and found him sprawled out next to me, flat on his back with his legs wide open! 😂

At first, I thought, “Aww, how cute—he wants to sleep up here beside me.” 🥰

It was cute… until my nostrils realised he’d farted. Now I’m having serious second thoughts about this sleeping arrangement! 🤢💨😂

This afternoon, Vinnie and I enjoyed a lovely walk into town to visit Marketplace Travel and pay some money off our holiday. They were very busy—not surprisingly at this time of year—but thankfully, we didn’t have to wait too long.

While we waited, Vinnie sat as good as gold. He really is the most well-behaved, beautiful and intelligent boy. He’s certainly keeping me fit too! 🐾🥰

Now we’re back home, it’s time to get dinner on. Tonight we’re having slow-cooked gammon, and Vinnie and Barney might just get a tiny taste as a special treat too! 🐶💕

We’ve taken one new booking in March, one in June and another in July today! ❤️

Our diary is filling much faster than expected, and we are now nearly fully booked throughout June, July and August. Some of these months only have one short space remaining, so if you’re hoping to book your dog’s home-from-home stay with us next year, please don’t leave it too late.

We care for dogs from one household at a time, which means our availability is very limited and dates can disappear quickly.

Our remaining 2027 availability is shown below. 🐶🏡

Please remember that dates are not reserved until the meet and greet and booking process have been completed and the 20% deposit has been paid. All availability is correct at the time of posting and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

When they both want to squeeze onto my knee at the same time… and I can’t say I mind one little bit! 🥰🐾

These two get on so well and are pretty much inseparable now. Having them both cuddled up on me is definitely what I’d call my happy place. ❤️

I feel incredibly lucky to do a job that brings us so much joy and that we’re able to do together as a family. Welcoming these lovely dogs into our home, caring for them and loving them as our own really is the best job in the world. 🏡🐶💕
