This is just to make you all aware not to scare. It presents as kennel cough but much more serious. Its from airborne contamination, thankfully I rarely have crossovers. I disinfect in-between dogs and will change my clothing too just as a preventative. Please if your dog has any of these symptoms, let me know before attending appointments

Last week I was a family members “person” during a dentist visit. I went in with her to hold her hand whilst she had her mouth numbed and a filling.

Just having me there, holding her hand meant that she was able to cope with the procedure, even though she didn’t enjoy it, she tolerated it.

I think this exactly how some dogs feel for grooming if their person is allowed to stay, someone to make them feel safe and give them that extra bit of confidence.

I know there are lots of reasons why groomers cannot have guardians to stay, such as insurance, personal reasons, etc., but I would encourage allowing guardians to stay particularly for dogs that have separation anxiety or grooming anxiety.

Dogs feet this time of year are soaking up all the moisture and the grime. Its good to keep checking them as its a haven for bacteria and those pesky thorns that we dont see until they become a problem. Are you in-between grooms as its a little chilly to get a full groom or the hair just grows more around the feet? Im doing a feet special, clip out, nail cut and paw balm massage for £10. Wow 4 years today, I made the scary decision to set up a dog grooming business which I have never regretted. I've met some lovely people and their amazing furry friends. I'm very privileged to do something I love and it has never felt like work. There's been heartache along the way, losing a few lovely fur babies and my own poster boy Socks (my heartbeat in fur) and the reason I became a dog groomer. I couldnt imagine doing anything else 🥰 A big thank you to all my clients for supporting me!
