When I first started dropping into Russell, this little Cavapoo puppy was jumping at everything 😅 — every sound, movement and distraction was exciting!
Fast forward a little while and the progress has been amazing 🥹💚
He’s learning to listen to his name (most of the time 😉), his recall is getting SO much better, and he’s becoming more confident and focused on his walks.
He’s still a puppy, so of course there are plenty of cheeky moments especially at blowing leaves 🍂 😂, but watching his confidence grow and seeing him choose to listen and check back in with me is exactly what makes this job so rewarding! 🐶💚
So proud of you, little man! 🌟

A walk isn’t the only way to tire out a dog! Mental stimulation can be just as rewarding and tiring as physical exercise. Try these ideas:

🐾 Snuffle mats and scatter feeding
🐾 Treat-finding games around the house
🐾 Puzzle toys
🐾 Training new tricks
🐾 Lick mats and enrichment activities

Sometimes a bit of brain work is exactly what they need! ❤️

So if it’s too hot for a big adventure, don’t feel guilty about swapping the walk for some fun enriching activities at home. Your dog will still have had a brilliant day! 🐶

🐾 The biggest reward isn’t just the walks… it’s earning their trust. 🥹💚
There’s something so special about seeing those happy faces, wagging tails and excited greetings when I arrive. Knowing they feel safe, comfortable and genuinely enjoy spending time with me is what makes this job so rewarding. 🐶
Every dog has their own personality, quirks and little ways of showing they trust you — and getting to know each one is a privilege. 🥰

☀️🐾 Extreme Heat Update 🐾☀️
The safety and wellbeing of the dogs in my care always comes first.
Due to the extreme temperatures, all dog walks will be moved earlier or suspended while the weather is too hot to protect dogs from the risk of heatstroke, burnt paws, and dehydration. Even short walks can be dangerous in this weather.
Where needed, walks will be replaced with drop-in visits instead. During these visits, I’ll make sure your dogs have fresh water, toilet breaks in the garden, plenty of fuss and attention, and a welfare check to keep them comfortable and safe.
Thank you for your understanding and support as I put your dogs’ health first. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and give your pups an extra cuddle from us! (Maybe not Toby as he’s fully asleep in front of the fan) 🐶💚

🐾 Meet these two gorgeous Border Collies! 🐾
I’ve had the pleasure of walking these lovely dogs for the past week, and what a pair they are! ❤️ One, a 16 year old who still likes a little ball throw , while the other is a lively 5-year-old full of energy. Despite the age difference, they both enjoy their walks and always bring a smile to my face. 🐕🐕✨
It’s been a joy getting to know their different personalities and making sure they both get the exercise, care, and attention they deserve.

🐾Dog Walk Day is almost here! Join us tomorrow at 11am as we set off from The Quill and Scholar, Lichfield for a relaxed group walk before returning for drinks, treats, and plenty of tail wags. Everyone’s welcome! 🐶🍻

☀️🐾 Hot weather means extra care for our furry friends!
Keep walks safe and enjoyable by heading out early or later in the evening, avoiding hot pavements, and bring plenty of water. If the pavement feels too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws too! 🐶💧
At Kurt’s Dog Walking, your dog’s safety and happiness always come first. I will tailor the walks accordingly, Healthy dogs, happy walks! 💚

Turner joined me for his very first walk today! He was so inquisitive, taking in all the new smells, sounds, and surroundings with those big curious eyes 🐶🍂
Turner also discovered that walkies come with plenty of fuss, cuddles, and the occasional belly rub stop along the way… which he thoroughly enjoyed 🥰
Such a gentle boy and I can’t wait to watch his confidence grow on our adventures together! 🐕✨

My loyal black lab, best adventure buddy, and one of the biggest reasons this journey began. From countryside walks to muddy paw prints and endless tail wags, he showed me just how important exercise, companionship, and care are for our dogs.
