🖤🤍Ode to Teddy Boy🤍🖤
From day one we were told 'be careful of the farm collie, Ted - hes nippy'. Any one else might have listened....we clearly didn't! 😅
Little did we know at the time, that this goofy good boy would become such a massive part of our story here at Stable Door Pets.
He became part of our daily routine without us even realising it! The 'security checks' that always seemed to involve pinching treats. The regular 'pee-mails and packages' left around to keep everyone informed. Standing outside barking orders as if he ran the place (let’s be honest, he did😅). Sneaking in at lunchtime like he owned the shop and of course, the forever need to es**rt him back home... whether he agreed with that decision or not!
Ted would be here, without fail, rain or shine. Definitely our most loyal visitor and biggest supporter! Persistent, vocal, and completely committed to making sure he was noticed. 🥰
He had a habit of 'singing' if we didn’t answer the door quickly enough, (or if he got caught in brambles!) and a talent for making even the most stressful days feel lighter just by being unapologetically himself, with that goofy smile and cheeky tail wag that said 'hello humans, treats please!'
Ted may have been a menace to society at times, and a pain in the backside at others, but he was also a solid part of the team. A real character, and a constant presence we all grew to utterly adore. 🥰
We’re so glad we got to earn his trust, and even more glad we got to see the softer side of him. The belly rubs, the daily visits, the noise, the mischief, the stinking of poo! They’re all things we’ll miss more than we probably realised we would.
He left us with a lot of memories, a lot of laughs, and a reminder that even the grumpiest characters can have the biggest hearts.
Ted, you were one of a kind and you’ll be very, very missed.
From all of the team here, sleep tight old boy. 🤍🖤🌈
