Please do not feed the ducks 🦆 at the common ❤️‍🩹

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE – BUCKLEY COMMON POND ⚠️

We are asking everyone visiting the Higher Common pond to please help us during the current difficult conditions. 🙏🌿🦆🐟

💧 PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE DUCKS IN THE WATER

With the water level currently extremely low, we want to avoid adding any more food or organic material directly into the pond.

🦆 If you do wish to feed the ducks, please encourage them out of the water and feed them on the bank instead. This will help reduce the amount of uneaten food and waste entering the pond.

🎣 PLEASE STOP ALL ANGLING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE 🎣

We are also asking anglers to temporarily stop fishing the pond completely while the water remains at its current exceptionally low level.

🐟 Please do not introduce any bait or feed for the fish either. This includes loose feed, groundbait and other fishing bait.

The pond is already under considerable pressure because of the extremely low water level, warm weather and the amount of accumulated silt and organic matter. The last thing we want to do is add anything unnecessary to the water while conditions remain like this. 💧🌡️

This is a temporary precaution to give the pond and its wildlife the best possible chance while we wait for conditions to improve.

We know the pond is enjoyed by anglers, families, wildlife lovers and many other members of our community, so we would really appreciate everyone working together and respecting these requests. 💚
