Cookie and I joined Dog Training for our second rally session today, and we really enjoyed it!

It’s giving me plenty of ideas for things we can practise at home.

As it was only our second time, I still don’t know most of the signs, so my first mission is to learn them! It’s quite hard trying to remember all the new signs while also handling a dog.

I also discovered today that apparently “stand” means “sit” in Cookie’s world ! 😂

I think we’ve finally found something we can enjoy doing together as she gets older.

From falling asleep at the vets before her spay to enjoying her first off-lead run today! 🥹❤️

A massive thank you to Daleside Veterinary Group Penyffordd, especially vet Adrian and Nurse Alice, for being so patient and understanding with Odessa and me, and for recognising that some dogs need a slightly different approach🙏

Bertie had a 1-to-1 scent detection session yesterday, and I was so proud of this team!

He came into a completely new place, with lots of different dog smells around, and the moment Cath said “Search”, Bertie put his nose down and got straight to work. 👏

He worked so hard! We went down to some really small pieces and he was finding them brilliantly. His mum has also been working with him on his indication, and he’s now got a fantastic freeze. 😍

I absolutely love seeing the progress in my teams. Seeing all their hard work paying off is so rewarding.

A massive thank you to Poochie Pampers Groom and Zoom for letting us use your place. It’s such a great environment for scent work, especially with different dogs being there every day which adds extra challenge.

Every time I’m at Moel Famau, I think how lucky I am to live where I do. It’s so beautiful and calming here.

Four teams — Velma, Ffion, Quito & Bear — joined us for Mantrailing in this epic location today. 🐾⛰️

Beautiful place, brilliant dogs and a perfect way to spend the day.

ONE SPACE AVAILABLE – Sunday 25th October

One space has become available on the workshop I’m hosting with Jenny Richards from Deliverance Dogs.

📍 New Brighton, Flintshire
⏰ 9am–4pm

The day can be tailored to you and your dog and what you’d like to work on, including relationship and play, obedience, reactivity, working trials, or anything else you’d particularly like Jenny’s help with.

As I won’t be hosting visiting trainers anymore, this will be the last workshop like this that I’ll be organising, so if you’ve been thinking about joining one, this is your last chance.

⛔️ HELP NEEDED 🙏 ⛔️

Dog trainers, customers, followers and anyone local who might know somewhere… I need your help please!

I’m hosting Jenny from Deliverance Dogs for two days in October. I booked both venues back in June, but yesterday I found out I may not be able to use one of them 😭

I’m now looking for somewhere for Saturday 24th October, 9am–4pm, ideally around Buckley/Mold or not too far away.

I’ve already contacted quite a few places but I’m struggling. Some don’t allow dogs and others are already booked on Saturdays, and with just over a month to go I’m starting to panic a little 🙈

It doesn’t need to be anything fancy! Just a decent indoor space where dogs are allowed. There would only be one dog working at a time and around 7 cars.

If anyone knows a hall, indoor arena, training venue, barn or anything else that might work, please let me know. Even if you just know someone I could ask!
