Today we opened our farm gates to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Open Farm Sunday, and what a special day it was! ✨🚜

This event would not have been possible without our incredible team of volunteers from our local farming community, a community we are incredibly proud to be part of. Our aim was to celebrate British farming while helping visitors understand the hard work, care and dedication that goes into producing the food we all enjoy every day 🇬🇧♥️

We have been absolutely blown away by the number of people who came to visit us. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success.

The farm was alive with a wonderful buzz of excitement as visitors explored everything we had to offer. From meeting our beekeeper, Keith, who cares for our precious bees and produces the delicious honey sold in our farm shop, to watching the sheep shearers and sheepdog demonstrations showcasing the skill and care involved in looking after these wonderful animals.

We were also delighted to be joined by our local friend’s magnificent Shire horses, who gave visitors an insight into what life on the farm was like before tractors. What incredible animals they are!

It really was a fantastic day filled with learning, laughter and a shared appreciation for British agriculture. And of course, it was wonderful to see the fields full of happy strawberry pickers enjoying the sunshine and the fruits of the season! 🍓

Thank you again to everyone who visited, volunteered, demonstrated, supported and celebrated with us. Here’s to another 20 years of Open Farm Sunday! 🚜

Thanks to the glorious weather, our strawberries are ripening beautifully and are packed with flavour. We are excited to announce that our next opening day is this Sunday, for our fantastic Open Farm Sunday event!

Alongside rows and rows of delicious strawberries ready for picking, there’s a whole host of family-friendly activities to enjoy:

🚜 Farm machinery displays (a huge hit with tractor enthusiasts of all ages!)
👩‍🌾 Meet our incredible team of volunteer farmers and learn about how great British produce is grown

The strawberries are looking fantastic, the weather is set fair, and there’s plenty to enjoy for the whole family at Lillingstone Pick Your Own.

🍓 The strawberries are looking fantastic right now! 🍓

This recent sunshine has really brought the fruit on, and the strawberry field is turning beautifully red. There are plenty of ripe, juicy berries waiting to be picked!

If you’ve been planning a visit, now is a great time to come and enjoy the season. As with all farming, we never quite know how long the strawberry season will last, so don’t leave it too long to make your trip!

📰 STRAWBERRY FEVER SWEEPS !

Yes, the headlines are true...WE’RE OPEN! 🍓

After weeks of monitoring, inspecting, forecasting and perhaps the occasional overreaction...We are delighted to report that strawberry season has officially arrived 🍓

The fields are ready, the punnets are waiting, and our first strawberries are ready to be picked!

So round up the family, bring your friends, and come and make a day of it!

This week we’ll be open:

Thursday 4th June: 10am ~ 4pm
Friday 5th June: 10am ~ 4pm
Saturday 6th June: CLOSED
Sunday 7th June: 10am ~ 4.30pm - Open Farm Sunday - 🎟️ Ticketed event, pre-bookable online.

And this Sunday we will be open for our special annual event: Open Farm Sunday! A day filled of farming and adventure! Find out how we farm with nature and the hard work that goes into the food that we eat! 😋🌾👨🏼‍🌾

The wait is over! We are delighted to announce that our strawberry patch is now OPEN!

🗓️ Opening times this week:

🍓 Wednesday 3rd; 10am ~ 4pm

No need to book for strawberry picking! Simply come along, pay the £1 entry fee at the gate, grab a punnet and head into the patch! ☀️

🍓 WOW! The strawberries have ripened and we now have a field of red! 🍓

These are the plump, juicy strawberries you have been waiting for, and they are looking absolutely incredible right now!

We are open Wednesday 3rd June, 10am–5pm, with our café fully stocked with drinks, ice-creams and cakes (please note, no hot food available).

Opening times this week*;

Tuesday 2nd June: CLOSED
Wednesday 3rd June: 10am - 4.30pm
Thursday 4th June: TBC
Friday 5th June: TBC

🍓 We are OPEN tomorrow ~ Monday 1st June! 🍓

The strawberry field will be open tomorrow from 11am–2pm for Pick Your Own strawberries.

Our strawberries have started to turn red, and while it is still the very beginning of the season, the forecast rain tomorrow night and Tuesday means we have too many ripe berries to leave unpicked.

We will be serving hot and cold drinks, but please note that food will NOT be available tomorrow.

We will keep this page updated throughout the day if strawberry availability becomes limited.

🍓 Strawberry Field Update with Farmer Tom! 🍓

We are getting very close to opening!

Thousands of strawberries are ripening beautifully in the field, but there just are not quite enough red, ready-to-pick berries for us to open this weekend.

The good news is that we will definitely be open next weekend, and there may even be a soft opening during the week as the season gets underway.

Open Farm Sunday is almost here! With just 1 week left to go!

Our first Open Farm Sunday last year was such a lovely day on the farm, and we are so pleased to be doing it again on Sunday 7th June - especially as this year marks the 20th anniversary of Open Farm Sunday.

Expect educational talks, farm displays, street food, and of course, strawberry picking too! We have been busy planting row upon row, and with the sunshine on our side, it won’t be long until our gates are open for the strawberry season at Lillingstone! 🍓
