Yesterday I had today all planned.
•Drop kids off at school/nursery.
•Head to the Plant Plot and have a supplier meeting, collect the hand drill and few bits of stock.
•From there go to The Brambles - get last weeks figures down and re-stock/ little bit of merchandising doing the Summer/cooling display.
•Then head to the post office/evri drop off/bank
•Get to the Cash and Carry and whiz round picking up the essentails in time
•Making it back to have a little tidy of the kids toys, put the washing on and the dinner prepped.
•Pick up the kids from school
•Continue to upload the stock take whilst making dinner.
Thats a typical Monday when I'm "off" I.e not in the cabin.
But today hardly any of that happened.
Instead I had to take my daughter to the walk in this morning because she has sore eyes, cancelling my morning meeting.
When that was calmed down, I dropped her back at school, I went to the cash and carry, came back to unload, put the washing on looked at my watch guaging if I could still do Lichfield, Brambles, post office before school pick up and then I looked at my cat.
He made eye contact and immediately came on my lap, lay down and purred so loudly. Game over I'm afraid.
I realised I barely spent any time with him over the weekend, so now its quality time with the cat till I have to pick the kids up.
Today is a write off. Its my only "free" day , but honestly if I could rewind the clock 24hrs what would I do differently? I'll tell you -
I would have made a cup of tea before making eye contact with the cat 🧡🤍🐱
