A couple of weeks ago I recieved a call from a kind man called Mr Jim Bertson, he told me how his good friend Andrew Leathely had sadly recently passed away and asked if it was possible to have a Humber Retired Greyhounds collection, to put on the bar a the wake organised to celebrate their friends life as greyhounds were very close to Andrews heart.

Somebody unknown to us, yet wanting to support a local cause. As a small independant we are often overlooked by the big corporate organisations, so it is very humbling to be thought of by a complete stranger.

A big thank you to Jim and all of Andrew Leathley's family and friends. The donations collected raised £77.99 for our lovely hounds.

We send our condolences to all that knew Mr Leathley and thank you for supporting our valuable work finding forever homes for so many greyhounds and lurchers in need.

📢 CANCELLED - it is already very warm in the full sun so we have decided to cancel this morning’s walk, apologies everyone but just need to keep the doggos cool 😎 📢

‼️Due to the warm weather we have decided to bring our walk tomorrow morning forward to the earlier time of 9:30am, walking just after 09:30‼️

However, if the temperature is higher than expected in the morning we will call it off. At present it is expected to be 17-18 degrees in Brantingham at that time. 🤞🤞🤞

*** apologies that we lost the original version of this post due to ‘technical issues’, thank you everyone that have sent such kind and thoughtful messages to Snoopy’s owners, Sue & Phil ***

Another devastatingly sad day as we lose another of our beloved hounds.

I’m heartbroken to share the sad news that Snoopy passed away this morning at the age of 12 years and 20 days.

Snoopy was the brother of our very own sponsor dog Chance and a homed hound I saw on a very regular basis, the two brothers were infamous for budding back up on our group walks and always managed to cause some kind of trouble.

They will always be fondly remember for their ability to p**p up traffic cones!!!

We hold so many happy memories of a dog that had an absolute heart of gold.

Snoopy will be cherished forever, missed so very much, but never forgotten.

Now back with his best friend Skyler, his memory will live on in Chance for the moment and in our hearts forever.

And now the tears flow.....
Fly high beautiful boy ###x
