🥵 Heatstroke 🥵

From today and into most of next week the temperature is a concern for a risk of heatstroke. Here are a few things we will be doing to keep all the dogs safe.

Move walks to the morning where possible.
Shorten 1 hour walks to ½ hour.
Walk in shaded wooded areas with water breaks.
Hold the back of our hand on the pavement.
Follow the phase “24 walk no more”
Constantly look for early signs of heatstroke.
Change walks to home visits.
Leave a full bowl of water.
Check goodtowalk.co.uk as a guide.

Heatstroke is very serious and is deadly and just isn’t worth the risk for the sake of missing a walk.

Summer has recovered from her recent molt and is ready for food. Her ‘tiger’ stripes are really coming through 😊🕷️🕸️

She is a 2-year-old Guatemalan Tiger Rump Dwarf Tarantula and won’t get any bigger. She is super friendly and the loveliest little tarantula.
