5 years ago I took a huge leap and started Perfectly Pampered Pooches.

I was nervous, excited and honestly a bit terrified 😅

Since then I’ve met the most amazing dogs and their humans. Some pups have been with me since day one and watching them grow has been the biggest privilege.

There have been early mornings, late evenings, freezing winters in the van, heatwaves, muddy paws, endless towels and LOTS of dog hair 😂 but I wouldn’t change a second of it.

Running this business on my own has been one of the hardest and most rewarding things I’ve ever done. Every booking, recommendation, like, share and kind message has helped this little business grow.

This business means the world to me and it wouldn’t be what it is today without you all. Thank you. 💗

Fluffy faces like this don’t just happen by accident 🐶✨

Getting puppies used to the grooming process is SO important — especially for poodle breeds and poodle crosses. Brushing every day helps it become part of their normal routine. It’s honestly just as important as toilet training. A well-groomed coat is a healthy coat, and prevention is always easier than fixing matting later.

Puppies don’t come pre-programmed to love being groomed. My own puppy was terrified of the dryer when she first came home. The noise, the sensation — it was all overwhelming for her. With gentle exposure, patience, and lots of reassurance, she’s slowly learning that it’s nothing to fear.

She’s also not a huge fan of the brush (yet!), but getting her used to it now — when her coat doesn’t desperately need it — is setting her up for success. Early, positive experiences make all the difference.

The goal? Calm, confident, Perfectly Pampered Pooches who feel safe on the grooming table and can be cared for without stress. That starts at home, from day one 💛

Consistency. Patience. Kindness.
That’s how we raise happy, well-groomed pups.
