Congratulations to these 4 who passed their Trail Hunt International Components level one Gate/Barrier achievement 👏
They all worked hard at building the foundations and then we put the gate into a number of trails until the dogs gave a positive and constant communication that the trail went through the gate.
For todays trails they completed one 400m with 2 x 4 way junctions and the Gate component! Then a slightly shorter blind trail taking them through woodland but still with the Gate component in!
Fantastic work all!

Few moments feel worse than a missing dog.

NFDog created and runs the New Forest lost dog service — led by our dedicated committee member Kate, who runs this vital initiative and so often goes the extra mile to reunite dogs with their owners.

Every safe return is a reminder of what community, commitment, and care can achieve.

In our last weeks Trail Hunt International Components progression session we worked on Gate/Barriers in the trail.
The dogs need to give a clear communication that this is the way the trail goes! Not as easy as it sounds!

So we had a bit of a stand off with this lovely lot blocking the path, of course me and the dogs quickly moved out of the way!! 😊 letting this lovely lot saunter past! Absolutely love living in the Forest! 💚
