Just like us, our pets can be affected by seasonal allergens such as pollen, mould spores and dust mites - and autumn can bring its own triggers.

If your pet seems itchier than usual or you’ve noticed a change in their skin, paws or ears, don’t just put it down to the changing seasons. There are lots of ways we can help manage allergies and keep your pet comfortable.

Meet gorgeous Arthur, who recently came to see us after picking up some pesky grass seeds.
Grass seeds may look harmless, but they can cause real problems for our pets.

Thankfully, Arthur was brought in promptly and our team were able to examine him and deal with the offending grass seeds 💚

🌾 Top tip for pet owners: After walks, especially during grass-seed season, give your dog a quick check-over. Pay particular attention to paws, between the toes, ears, armpits and around the eyes.
If your pet is suddenly shaking their head, licking a paw excessively, sneezing, rubbing their face or seems uncomfortable after a walk, a grass seed could be the culprit.
