🐾 Meet & Greets at At Ease Dog Grooming 🤍

Sometimes, a little extra time makes all the difference. 🥰

For dogs who are nervous, have additional needs or simply need a little reassurance before their first groom, I offer a complimentary 10-minute meet & greet appointment.

This gives your dog the chance to explore the salon, have a good sniff around, experience unfamiliar sights and sounds, and even have a cuddle on the floor with me as they get to know me, all without the pressure of being groomed, just like Pip did 🥰

It’s also a lovely opportunity to chat about your dog’s individual needs and how I can make their grooming experience as comfortable as possible.

No grooming, no pressure, just a friendly introduction for the dogs that need that extra reassurance 🤍

One complimentary meet & greet is available per dog. If your dog would benefit from further familiarisation visits, these can be arranged separately.

From a puppy post to Golden Oldie 🥰

Lupin was my model dog for one my grooming exams AND my demonstration dog when I held a brushing class in Whitchurch years ago.

Now she's 15 years old, dealing with dementia and still the cutest girl with the same beautiful and wonderful traits she's always had. 💕

It's very special being able to witness your dogs growing older, and I'm forever grateful to be a part of their life. 🤍

✨ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ✨

🎤 Are you a professional singer?
No. I keep my singing strictly for the dogs, who rate it extremely highly and have never once requested a refund.

🐶 Do you talk to the dogs like they’re people?
Obviously. They also get full explanations of what I’m doing, regular emotional check-ins and occasionally some gossip.

💬 Do the dogs understand you?
More than most humans, yes.

🛁 Do you get covered in dog hair?
No, at this point I believe the dog hair is actually part of my body.

✂️ Do you ever accidentally take your work home with you?
Yes. Usually in my bra.

🐾 What happens if my dog doesn’t want to cooperate?
We negotiate. I explain my terms. They ignore them. We reach a compromise.

🎵 What sort of music do you play in the salon?
Whatever allows me to perform an unnecessary full concert while your dog looks increasingly concerned for my mental state.

🧼 Do you enjoy bathing dogs?
Yes, right up until they shake directly into my open mouth.

💨 Do dogs ever fart during their groom?
Yes.
Do they make eye contact afterwards? Also yes.

📸 How many photos do you take to get one nice after photo?
Somewhere between 4 and 742.

🐕 Do you judge dogs for being dramatic?
Never.
I respect the commitment to the performance.

🏡 Is At Ease Dog Grooming actually calm and relaxing?
For the dogs? Yes.
For me? Depends how many times I’ve had to say “please stop sitting down while I’m trying to trim your bum.”

December is always an incredibly busy month, and appointments are limited. December spaces will be reserved for dogs who are due their regular groom, so please don’t wait until the last minute to book.

If your dog needs another groom before Christmas, now is the perfect time to get that booked too. We can keep them on their usual grooming schedule and make sure their next appointment falls at the right time for December ✨
