🐷💦 Our refreshed grass grazing pigs 🐷

While one of our KuneKune pigs is making the most of a refreshing drink, the others are sticking to the important job of grass grazing! 🌿☀️

These charming pigs are known for their calm, friendly nature and love of grazing on grass. In fact, KuneKune means “fat and round” in Māori, the language of New Zealand where the breed originated! 🇳🇿🐽

⭐️ Our Zoo Keeper has done it again! ⭐️

Tenisha has been busy creating another fantastic enrichment toy, and it’s safe to say Diego the raccoon approves! 🦝✨

Watch as Diego sniffs out his treats, solves the puzzle, and figures out the best way to get his rewards.

Animal enrichment is a vital part of animal care, encouraging natural behaviours, keeping animals mentally stimulated, and providing fun challenges.

Who else thinks Diego looks like a puzzle-solving pro? 👏🐾💚

Bath time - capybara style 🛁💦

Our capybaras love a good mud bath - and it’s not just for fun! Rolling in mud helps keep them cool, protects their skin from the sun, and can even help keep pesky insects away 🌞🪰

Safe to say… they take self-care VERY seriously 😄

We’re excited to announce a very special new arrival at Chew Valley Animal Park 🥰

Our adorable meerkat pup is settling in wonderfully, and mum is doing an amazing job! The whole mob has already welcomed the little one with open paws, showing lots of love and protection 💛

We can’t wait for you all to meet our newest tiny family member 🥰
