☀️ IMPORTANT HEATWAVE NOTICE ☀️
With temperatures forecast to reach up to 35°C on Wednesday, we want to make all customers aware of the risks that this extreme heat may pose to some cats.

We are doing everything we reasonably can to help keep our guests comfortable, including:
• Providing cooling mats
• Covering roofs to reduce heat exposure
• Regularly changing water
• Adding extra water to wet food where appropriate

However, the reality is that during temperatures this high, it is simply very hot, and there is only so much that can be done.

We are particularly concerned about:
🐾 Elderly cats
🐾 Cats with heart conditions
🐾 Cats with underlying health issues
🐾 Cats on medication

These cats may find the heat especially challenging, and we want owners to be fully aware of the risks before boarding.

For this reason, we will not charge for cancellations or early collections during this heatwave if you decide you would rather keep your cat at home.

The welfare of the cats in our care is always our priority. We will continue to monitor all cats closely and do everything possible to keep them comfortable, but we feel it is important to be honest and transparent about the conditions expected over the coming days.

Seasonal role: End of June – Early September
(Must be available for the full period, chance to extend also)

We’re looking for a reliable, animal-loving person aged 16+ to join our busy cattery for the summer. This is a physical, fully flexible, split-shift role and will include weekends.

About the Job: 😻
- Cat care: feeding, watering, administering medication, and monitoring wellbeing
-Cleaning: pens, litter trays, bedding, and general cattery areas
-General support during busy periods

Requirements: ✅
* Aged 16+
* Fully flexible (mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends)
* Must be able to commute it is split shifts and poor bus routes may make travel difficult
* Fit enough for physical work in summer heat
* Comfortable and confident around cats
* Able to commit to 10-20 hours per week

It’s been a while since we’ve done a little photoshoot 📸🐾

This year already so far has been absolutely mental for us in the best way possible so many lovely new customers, lots of returning faces, and a very busy cattery full of happy cats! We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us, recommended us and trusted us with your cats 🐱

Because of how busy things have become, we’re already fully booked for *most* dates across July and beginning of August. Our cancellation list is still open at the moment for anyone hoping to get a space, but we may need to close it once it becomes too full!

Thank you again for keeping us so busy — we genuinely appreciate every single furry friend🐱✨

Meowy Christmas from Laxey Cattery! 😻🎄

It’s been a totally pawsome day here! Santa Paws has been, the stockings are empty (but the treat jars aren’t 😼) and our fur-guests are feline very merry! Dreamies were exchanged for purrs, head bumps and some seriously claw-ver posing during our Christmas morning photo shoot 📸🐾

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all our wonderful customers for your continued support this year, we couldn’t do it without you and we’re fur-ever grateful 💙
