*Update* Thank you to everyone who has shared this post. We are delighted to report that Pookie found her way home late last night. Although we are unsure where she has spent the last few days we are thinking she may have been locked in a shed somewhere. She came into practice for a check up today and is thankfully perfectly healthy.

Our colleague's much-loved cat Pookie has gone missing from Pilning/Easter Compton area.

If you live nearby, please keep an eye out and check your gardens, sheds, garages, and any other places a frightened cat might hide.

Please could everyone keep an eye out for Kitty who has been missing since the 15th June. The stray kitten that we are looking after who we shared recently unfortunately is not a match for Kitty. If anyone has any information please contact the owner on the number listed on this poster.

Stray Cat

Yesterday evening we had a young female cat handed into us. She is unfortunately not microchipped but is very friendly and affectionate so we are hoping there is an owner out there. She was found in the Henbury area. If anyone recognises this cat please contact us on 0117 9505888.

Meet Irene 🐢

This week our nursing team had an extra special shelled visitor. They may be more used to seeing our furry friends for the nail clips, but on Thursday our nurse Josh alongside our kennel assistant Rosie met Irene the Hermann’s tortoise. She was an absolute star for this nail trim and definitely brought some shell-ebrations to the practice.

Meet The Kittens!

Several weeks ago a kind member of the public brought in a beautiful (but slightly nervous) stray cat to us. Unfortunately this cat was not microchipped and despite our best efforts we were not able to locate any owner. To our surprise she eventually turned out to be pregnant, and over time, just kept getting bigger and bigger.

Our super and caring vet nurse Jeri started fostering the mother, and over time her confidence just continued to grow. 9 days ago, she successfully gave birth to 8 beautiful kittens. So far we are delighted to say they are all doing really well and they are starting to find their voices. We are already really pleased that all the kittens as well as the mother have got future homes lined up for them all. We shall continue to take cute photos of them throughout the journey to ensure that everyone has their cute daily kitten fix.

Meet Lily, Lola and Snow 🐱

These three gorgeous kittens came down to see us earlier in the month. They all had their second vaccinations as well as their microchips. Thankfully they were all good as gold for this, and were too busy devouring treat paste to even notice the injections and chip implant. Here we have our nurses Sophia and Ella alongside our head nurse Lisa who could not resist a kitten fuss beforehand.

Meet Tulio 🐱

Tulio is one of the many lovely cats that we see here at Viking Vets. He has always been a bigger boy but has recently starting gaining slightly more weight than we would like to see. Because of this he has joined our pet weight watchers club. Since joining we are very pleased with his progress and we are delighted with his weight loss. It is very important that with larger cats on weight loss journeys that they lose weight nice and gradually. Not only is this better for their health but we also hope that this will mean they are more cooperative with their lower food volume or diet change.

Missing Cat

We know Torin may have gone missing from a bit further afield but if anyone has got any information or has seen him please contact the number on the poster advertised. We are hoping that because he is so distinctive he will be noticeable if he is seen.

Meet Wolfe 🐶

Wolfe came down to visit us last week for his first puppy appointment. Although he was a little bit shy at first he came around brilliantly with a bit of gentle encouragement from our veterinary nurse Beth and some liver treats. His older sister Willow came down to us for her monthly puppy checks a few years ago and was an absolute star so thankfully he has already got a fantastic role model to look up to.
