🌾 Grass Seeds🐾

We’ve seen a massive increase in the number of grass seed cases this year, so we’re urging pet owners to keep an extra-close eye on their dogs after walks. 🌻

Grass seeds can become lodged in paws, ears, eyes and skin and, if left untreated, can cause some serious problems.

We’ve included the key things to look out for in our post 👆

💊 Medication & food orders
Please make sure you have requested any repeat medications or food orders at least 24–48 hours in advance where possible, so we have plenty of time to get everything ready for you.

🐶 If your pet isn’t quite themselves…
If you’re concerned about your pet or they’re showing signs that they’re not doing well, please don’t leave it until the last minute. Book an appointment as soon as you can - our appointments are filling up quickly ahead of the Bank Holiday.

First vet visit = lots of cuddles, treats… and apparently a very good nap 💤🐶

This little one absolutely smashed her first trip to the vets! ❤️

We believe a puppy’s first vet visit should be about much more than vaccinations. It’s about creating a positive association with the veterinary practice from day one, so that future visits feel safe, calm and stress-free.

That’s why we take things at your puppy’s pace, with plenty of gentle handling, reassurance, treats and lots of positive reinforcement. 🥰 From exploring the room and meeting the team, to getting used to being examined, we want every experience to be a good one. ⭐️

🐶 First-visit tips for puppy parents:
✨ Bring some of their favourite treats
✨ Bring a familiar blanket or toy
✨ Keep the journey and arrival as calm as possible
✨ Let them explore at their own pace
✨ Reward calm behaviour and gentle handling
✨ Start getting them used to having their ears, paws, mouth and body gently checked at home
✨ Don’t worry if they’re nervous, we’ll work with them and go at their pace

A little patience and lots of positive experiences early on can go a long way towards helping your puppy grow into a confident, happy vet visitor. 🩺🐾

🌞 Heatwave Incoming – Keep Your Pets Safe!🐾

With temperatures set to rise, it's important to take extra care of your pets.

🐶 Please avoid walking your dog during the hottest part of the day. If the ground is too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws. During extreme heat, avoid walks altogether where possible. If a walk is necessary, go very early in the morning or later in the evening when it's cooler.

💧 Keep your pets well hydrated with plenty of fresh, cool water and ensure they always have access to shade.

⚠️ Watch for signs of heatstroke:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Lethargy or weakness
• Vomiting
• Bright red gums
• Collapse

🚨 Heatstroke is a medical emergency and can escalate extremely quickly.
If you think your pet may be suffering from heatstroke, move them to a cool area, begin cooling them with cool (not ice-cold) water, and contact us immediately.

Stay safe and help keep your furry friends cool during the heatwave. ❤️🐾

To help make MRI diagnostics more accessible, we are offering a reduced-price basic MRI scan package from approximately £1,000 for a limited time*. ✨

This package includes:
✔ Initial clinical assessment
✔ MRI scan
✔ Anaesthesia and hospital costs
✔ Comprehensive final report

Additional investigations/tests can be arranged if required and will be discussed as part of an itemised estimate tailored to your pet's clinical history.🩺

If your pet has been recommended for advanced imaging, speak to your vet to begin the referral process. 📞
