Little Olive visited us last week for her annual vaccinations. Just look at that gorgeous, smoochy little face! 🥰🐾

This time last year, Olive was really poorly, and we were all very worried about her. So seeing her looking so happy and healthy is just wonderful!

We're absolutely delighted to see this lovely little girl back to her old self. ❤️

🎃 Halloween is looming… and there’s a game afoot! 👻

We’ve got some spooky fun happening at the practice this Halloween, and our little humans can play along too! 🕷️🦇

Just ask at reception to join in the fun and see if you can complete the challenge…

There may even be a little treat waiting for you at the end! 🍬🎃

And we haven’t forgotten our furry friends! 🐾 We also have some Halloween toys available to purchase for your pets while you’re here. 🎃🐶🐱

No tricks… probably. 👀

🐾 Meet beautiful Elrond and Nori 🐾

We welcomed these two gorgeous kittens into the practice last week for their second vaccinations.

They saw Rachael, who gave them plenty of time to settle in, explore the consult room and get comfortable in their own time — helped along by a few treats and some liver paste of course! 🐱💚

They were such lovely little kittens and an absolute pleasure to meet, don’t they have the most beautiful markings? 😍

This week was Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Day, so we wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to the wonderful people who keep everything running behind the scenes (and very much in front of them too!).

They really are the heart that keeps all the cogs turning. ❤️

It’s a pretty amazing job when you think about it — combining their love of animals with organisation, patience, problem-solving and the ability to keep smiling while phones are ringing, appointments are changing and someone needs something right now! 😄

They know our clients, they know their pets, and they somehow manage to keep the rest of us organised too!

So, to all of our fantastic receptionists and administrators — thank you for everything you do. We genuinely couldn’t do it without you. 💚🐶🐱🐰

Have you heard of Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Day?
The awareness day was coined by the British Veterinary Receptionist Association (BVRA), an organisation founded in October 2017 with the mission to support and raise the profile of veterinary receptionists.
The appreciation day was created back in 2019 and takes place every year on the 1st of October meaning it's just around the corner!
In the coming days, (and all year round!) be sure to offer our vet receptionists a big thank you for all their hard work and care.

🌱 Poor Ludo had a rather unwanted visitor in his ear … a grass seed! 👂🐶
He came in to have the offending grass seed removed — and was an absolute star throughout. ⭐
📸 Patiently waiting before his procedure… followed by keeping lovely and warm afterwards, tail wagging and very pleased to discover that lunch was on the way! 😋
Have you see the reel of the grass seed removal… there’s something strangely satisfying about seeing the culprit finally come out! 😂🌱
Ludo recovered beautifully and was soon much more interested in food than his troublesome ear. ❤️
Well done, Ludo! 🐾

🎉 Please join us in wishing Jim a very happy retirement! 🎉

After many years of caring for our furry family members, Jim has decided it’s time to hang up his stethoscope and enjoy some very well-earned time with his family.

We’re going to miss him enormously. Jim has brought such a lovely warmth and energy to the practice, and it has been a real pleasure having him as part of our team.

Thank you, Jim, for everything you’ve brought to Emersons Green Vets. We hope retirement brings you plenty of time to relax, enjoy yourself and make the most of the next chapter.

Wishing you a very happy retirement from all of us! ❤️🐾

And we’ll be seeing you very soon for some well-deserved retirement celebrations! 🥂🎉
