A very special job this weekend, wedding chaperone duties for these two gorgeous doggos! 🐶🤍🌸 Nacho and Oreo looked absolutely beautiful and were such good pups. I loved being able to help them be part of their humans’ special day! 🥰

As many of you have seen, Bristol City Council has introduced new licensing rules for dog walkers in Bristol.

I fully support the idea of licensing and keeping standards high — that’s not the issue.

However, some of the additional rules are worrying. Under guidance from Bristol City Council, we’re not allowed to use public dog waste bins and we can’t walk more than four dogs — including even briefly walking alongside another dog walker.

This means if I have four dogs with me, I’d have to avoid stopping to chat or support another walker introducing a nervous dog. My business has grown through being friendly, approachable and part of the community — and this job can already feel isolating at times.

I will always follow the rules and put the dogs first. But I do feel it’s important to share how these changes impact small, responsible local businesses.

Thank you for always supporting me 🤍🐾

Hi everyone,

I wanted to update you about upcoming changes affecting dog walking services in Bristol’s parks and green spaces, which are expected to begin in April.

The Council will be introducing a licensing system that will apply to commercial dog walking services. This means that, if walking dogs in Bristol City Council parks is part of how we operate, we will need to hold a licence to continue working there.

At the same time, there are changes to the maximum number of dogs allowed per group walk — now moving toward a limit of 4 dogs per walker instead of the previous 6. The council have also said we aren’t to use the public bins, they have said we are to dispose of the p**p ourselves.

To be upfront — we’re not happy about the increased cost and reduced group size. These changes make running a small dog walking business more expensive and potentially reduce flexibility for clients.

Here’s what it means for you and your dog:
• Smaller group walks — up to 4 dogs together, not 6
• Walks will still be enjoyable and well-structured — but may be scheduled differently to allow your dog the walks they’re used to
• There may be changes to pricing or availability later in the year, depending on how licensing fees are set.

I genuinely love walking your dogs, and I’m committed to continuing reliable, safe service. I’ll also keep you updated if the council confirms final licence fees and details .

Thank you so much for your patience and support — we’re doing our best to adapt while keeping costs and disruption to a minimum. If you have any questions or concerns, please do get in touch.

Best wishes,
Nicola

I started the Christmas celebrations with a lovely afternoon walk with my very own trio 🐶

As the year comes to an end, I want to say a huge thank you to all of my amazing clients, both new and old, for your continued support throughout the year. I am so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.

I truly love spending time with your dogs and making special memories with them in all weathers — wet or dry, sun or shade — it’s a joy I never take for granted.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year filled with love, happiness, and beautiful memories 🐶 ❤️ 🐾 🎄 ✨
