A common misconception is that solid black or solid white pets result in flat, uninspired portraits. In reality, I love working with single-tone fur. Finding the subtle nuances to create real depth and life is really satisfying! 🐩🐕‍🦺✍️

Meet my love, Phife aka Mr Phifey Dawg ❤️
This is a portrait I drew to add to my market stall to show what I do, his smiley face does seem to draw attention!

Some fun Phife facts:
- He knows when I’m grating Parmesan even if he’s in the garden and the door is closed
- Sometimes he’ll only eat his food if it has been stopped with Parmesan
- Basically he’s obsessed with Parmesan
- He’s at his happiest chasing a ball (particularly a football)
- He’s really good at pretending he doesn’t have arthritis whilst he’s on his walks
- He’s very emotionally sensitive, but pretty daft in all other ways
- He is happy to let his little bro (our minipin Marcellus) boss him around

We love him so so much! ❤️
