🏩A little look into our hotel trials!🐾

Our 3 hour trials help dogs get familiar with our team, hotel and daily routine before their stay.

We start by letting them explore the arena at their own pace, giving them time to settle in and find their feet. We then introduce them to a calm, friendly dog who will give them plenty of space, before gradually introducing them to our two fields with different energy groups🐾
The final hour is spent in their own suite, helping them get comfortable in their room🛌

Trials also help us get to know each dog’s personality, so if they’re a little shy or prefer their own space, we can tailor their stay with extra privacy and one to one attention🥰

We want every dog to feel safe, settled and comfortable, making their time away from their owners a positive experience🐶✨

Some days, the best part of our job is simply looking around. 🤍

Dogs exploring the countryside, noses busy and tails up. Familiar faces arriving with excitement. A quieter guest choosing to come a little closer, then settling beside us for a cuddle.

All here, on our family farm.

Surrounded by open fields and fresh country air, we get to share a place that means so much to us with dogs who quickly become part of our day—and part of our hearts.

There’s plenty of fun, of course. Walks around the farm, favourite playmates and all those wonderful countryside smells. But we love the gentle moments just as much: a head resting on your knee, a sleepy dog after a happy morning, the trust that grows with every visit.

Behind every stay is a family, a team and a great deal of care. We know how much these dogs mean to the people who bring them here. Getting to love and look after them is a privilege we never take lightly.

The weather outside is dreadful. The service inside? A warm towel and a freshly tucked blanket. 🤍

Open the door and step into a stormy afternoon at The Country Canine Retreat…

Underfloor heating gently warming the rooms. Raised orthopaedic beds. Cosy blankets. And our lovely guests tucked up, warm, dry and ready for an afternoon snooze.

They’ve still had their fresh air and fun. Our all-weather silica sand and fibre arena drains freely, keeping puddles and mud to a minimum—even when the British weather has other ideas.

But it’s what happens afterwards that tells you so much about us.

We dry them off. Settle them into their beds. Tuck their blankets around them. Take a little extra time with anyone who needs reassurance.

Because the beautiful rooms are only part of the experience. The real luxury is being loved and cared for in them.

That’s what makes The Country Canine Retreat different: the thought, the tenderness and the attention behind every stay.

You can’t choose the weather for their holiday. You can choose who tucks them in. 🐾

You don’t have to be a member!
Our ad hoc daycare is £38 per day, giving you flexibility without a regular commitment, subject to availability. Even our occasional visitors enjoy extras, including a complimentary bath, nail trim and wellness check after 15 visits.

For dogs who love a regular routine, membership brings even more.

With memberships from £31 per day, you’ll secure their space on your agreed weekly days, enjoy familiar faces and have one less thing to organise each week.

Depending on your membership, benefits include:

A little more luxury. A whole new way to make a splash. 💦🐾

Something rather special is coming to The Country Canine Retreat…

Our new canine hydrotherapy pool, also available for fun and recreational swimming, is due to be installed at the end of November / beginning of December — bringing a beautiful new experience to our countryside retreat.

Available to hire, it’s the perfect setting for water-loving dogs to enjoy a splash and for little paws to discover swimming at their own pace.

Every detail is being considered, with dog life jackets, a dedicated dog shower, and a changing room for owners. Afterwards, our guests can dry off in a cosy room with underfloor heating — because a little comfort after a swim is all part of the experience.

Countryside charm, thoughtful touches and very happy dogs. 🤍

All dogs booked in for daycare between Monday 26th and Friday 30th October are invited to join in! Dress your dog in their spookiest, funniest or cutest Halloween outfit or accessory. From little pumpkins to handsome vampires, we can’t wait to see your creations! 🧡

Each day, we’ll choose a winner and a runner up and both will receive a little prize! 🎁
