How many people can say that they have a job where they jump out of bed on a Monday morning after a week off and genuinely can't wait to see everyone?! I honestly missed those faces so much and seeing those big goofy grins today was a tonic!!

Next week temps will soar into heatwave territory so how can you keep your dog safe?

Here are some suggestions but lmk yours in the comments!

•Walk your dog early morning or late evening.

•Go to woodlands or watery spots on walks.

•Stay home and do enrichment activities and training instead!

•Do the tarmac test for five seconds when you go out.

•Ensure your dog has plenty of water and shade at home.

•Use cool matts and bandanas. Even paddling pools!

•Carry fresh water on walks.

•Know the signs of heat stroke.

•Don't let your dog get burnt- keep them out of direct sunlight where you can and use pet-safe sun cream if needed.

•Plan ahead for adventures – check the weather in advance.

•Never leave your dog in a hot vehicle.

•And keep the exercise and energy levels to a minimum. Anything I missed?
