Today is Yellow Dog Day! 💛

Do you know why dogs wear yellow? Its because the dog needs some space! There can be a number of different reasons as to why the dog may need space such as recovering from an injury, in training or because they are anxious around other dogs like my dog Roo!

As a responsible dog owners, we need to make sure they are given the space they need. This could be putting your dog on the lead and moving away or even going as far as crossing the road away from the dog. By providing the dog with loads of space will help keep their stress levels down, as well as the owners stress levels too - i speak from experience! 🙊

But the main thing to take from is that yellow dogs are not bad dogs. They just need a little extra support and they really value their space 💛

Its Pancake Day! 🥞 I came across this yummy dog pancake recipe this evening so will be treating my boys to their own pet friendly pancakes 🙊🐾

🐶Hey Doggy Desserts Family🐶, Tuesday MARCH 1st is 🥳PANCAKE DAY!!🥳....We have made a recipe for you to celebrate pancake day with your doggy. 🥞Soooooo, grab your ingredients, Get them frying pans ready🍳, gear up those wrists ready for flipping...On Your Marks, Get Set, Go!!!...Have fun...Lots of woof xx.🍽
⬇️Method Below⬇️
INGREDIENTS;

2 Ripe Bananas 🍌🍌
2 Eggs 🥚🥚
A Sq**rt of Honey 🐝
Plus,
Coconut Oil Or Rapeseed Oil For frying.

METHOD;

1. Grab your 🍌bananas and mash them up in a bowl with a fork with 🥚 2 eggs until you have a runny mixture (Don’t worry about if there are any lumps, they will taste great)
2. Add a sq**rt of honey 🐝to taste and mix it all together.
3. Get your pan ready🍳and set it to medium heat.
4. Grease your pan with coconut oil or rapeseed oil
5. With some greased cookie cutters you can make some
amazing shapes.
6. Pour some of the mixture into the cookie cutters (if you don’t have any cookie cutters you can make some mini traditional shape pancakes instead)🥞
7. Once one side is done, flip them over, if you're using the cookie cutters Be Careful!! they will
get hot!
8. Once they are ready, transfer them to a plate and leave them cool before calling your doggy to have a delicious snack.🥳🥳🥳

Remember, these are a treat and not to replace their normal meal. We are not doggy nutritionists and every doggy is an individual. What might be good for most might not be good for another. Always tailor each recipe to your own dogs needs and tastes. If you have any questions about your dogs diet, please contact your vet.

Amazing advice from Me And My Dog Academy regarding Storm Eunice! Stay safe this weekend everyone 💨🐾

Incoming Storm Eunice: she’s going to be a big one! ⚠️💨

Just recapping a couple of the important steps to keeping your dogs safe and comfortable over the next 24 hours:

▪️Check gates + fences are still intact before letting your dog out in the garden.
▪️If safe to go walking consider wearing hi-viz clothing and keeping your dog on a leash or longline.
▪️Prepare your enrichment in advance to keep your dog entertained through the day: Lickimats, Kongs, Smörgåsbords, Toys, Snufflematts, Scatterfeeding etc!
▪️Double check your dogs Microchip details are up to date.
▪️Play some classical or reggae music if the wind noises worry your dog.
▪️Make sure they have a cosy quiet corner, nest or den area that they can retreat too.

Remember it’s not the end of the world if your dog misses a walk if it is not sensible conditions for venturing out. It’s only 24 hours. Stay safe everybody!

The hand touch is one of my 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 tools and is so so simple! The main reason i love the hand touch is that, if practiced enough, it becomes a great way to start communication with your dog if distracted. I use it all the time when out and about with Roo if he’s finding the world too overwhelming because due to the amount of times we’ve practiced it, it redirects his focus back to me 🤩
Its also a great way to not only build excitement and energy levels in your dog if you’re prepping for a trick it task that needs more energy but can also be used for 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 if properly developed into a sustained hand touch, making it also fantastic for wiggly dogs at the vets. 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵? 🥳
