Most people don’t know that dog training in the UK is completely unregulated. Anyone can call themselves a trainer tomorrow, no qualifications needed. You can have millions of followers and not a single credential to your name.
I qualified through PACT, one of only a handful of courses recognised by the Animal Behaviour and Training Council. It took a year of assessed theory and practical work, and it means I’m bound by a code of conduct: science-based, non-punitive methods only. No fear, no force, no shortcuts.
So before you take advice from anyone online (me included), it’s worth asking one question: what are your qualifications?
