🐸 A FEW FUN CANE TOAD FACTS:
• Cane toads are fascinating amphibians and can grow considerably larger than these tiny babies!
• They are mainly nocturnal, so they’re often most active in the evening and at night. 🌙
• They have a big appetite and are enthusiastic feeders! 🦗
• They need a warm, humid environment with access to fresh, clean water. 💧
• Despite their cute little faces, cane toads have toxin-producing glands behind their eyes, so good hygiene and appropriate handling are essential.
• Like all amphibians, they absorb substances through their skin, so clean hands and suitable enclosure conditions are really important.

🐍 CORN SNAKES LOOKING FOR NEW HOMES 🐍

We also currently have two corn snakes available for rehoming. ❤️

Both snakes have come to us due to a change in circumstances. They have been extremely well looked after by their previous owner, are healthy and well handled, and we’re now looking for their next suitable homes.

A rehoming fee applies, and as always, we’ll want to make sure their new homes are suitable before they leave us. 🏡🐍

Just a little update from us ❤️

My little one is coming home today! 🥰👶🏼 After everything he’s been through, we’re so excited to finally have him home and spend some much-needed time together as a family. ❤️

Because of this, Highway Pets will be CLOSED Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday so I can enjoy those precious first few days with him. 🥹💙

🦗 Fresh live food will be arriving Thursday, so normal service will resume then!

Thank you all so much for your patience, understanding and support over the past few weeks. It really has meant the world to us. ❤️

🐷💕 MALE GUINEA PIGS NOW AVAILABLE! 💕🐷

These gorgeous boys are now ready to find their forever homes! 🏡❤️

They’re doing brilliantly and are gradually becoming more confident with handling and human interaction. They’re such lovely little characters and will continue to thrive with patience, kindness and plenty of interaction. 🥰

If you’re looking for some new piggy pals over the next few weeks, pop in and meet them in store! 🐹💕

As always, proof of a suitable set-up is required before reserving.

🏡 Our guinea pig housing recommendations

We strongly prefer guinea pigs to live indoors, protected from harsh weather, temperature extremes and potential predators.

A good-sized C&C-style enclosure is ideal and gives them plenty of space to exercise, explore and enjoy enrichment.

A shed set-up can also be suitable, provided it is properly insulated, secure and appropriately set up for guinea pigs throughout the year.
