🐾 Meet Louie, the gentle giant!

Louie is just 16 months old and has recently joined his lovely new family. Today was his first visit to Birkhouse Dog Grooming, so we took things nice and slowly to help him get used to me and his new surroundings. ❤️
We kept it simple with a bath and a little tidy-up, and Louie was an absolute star! 🌟
He’ll be back in a few weeks for his full groom, but I have to say, I’ve never met a dog so laid-back at such a young age. What a lovely boy he is! 🐶💙
Well done, Louie — I’m looking forward to seeing you again soon! 🛁✂️💙

❤️ Not all grooms are about making a dog look beautiful — sometimes, they’re about making them feel comfortable again. ❤️
Some grooms are carried out purely for welfare reasons, and the end result may not always be the prettiest, but the dog’s comfort and wellbeing will always come first.
This is lovely Molly. Through no fault of her own or her wonderful family, she hadn’t been able to have a groom for over a year. Molly is a very elderly girl who finds grooming extremely stressful, and her coat had become severely matted.
We took things slowly, working in short intervals with lots of breaks to help keep Molly as comfortable and settled as possible throughout the process. ❤️
It wasn’t about achieving the perfect finish; it was about putting Molly’s welfare first and helping her feel more comfortable.
I’m sure our lovely girl is feeling so much better now. Sometimes, the most important transformations aren’t about how a dog looks, but how they feel. 🐾💕

Can highly recommend Helen if your local and needing a dog walker

🐾 A couple of rare spaces have become available at Bella’s Buddies! 🐾

One of my lovely regular dogs has recently moved onto shorter solo walks to suit his mobility, which means I now have:

🐶 1 space on my Tuesday afternoon group walk
🐶 1 space on my Wednesday afternoon group walk

My group walks are small, friendly and great for dogs who enjoy getting out, having a good sniff, stretching their legs and spending time with a few doggy friends. 🐕🌿

I’ve been dog walking locally for several years and always make sure dogs are carefully matched to a group where they’ll feel happy and comfortable.

Billy has been waiting a long time to join the Birkhouse gang, and today was finally his day! 🐾 Just look at the transformation in his before and after pictures. What a difference! I’m sure he’s feeling so much better after his pamper session. Welcome to the Birkhouse family, Billy! ❤️

Rosie has been coming for her puppy grooms, but today was her first proper big girl haircut! 🐾✂️ Just look how grown up she looks now! 😍 Well done, Rosie, you were a little superstar! 💕
